I believe that facebook are for friends and for me,not all my officemates are my friends. Collegues yes, but not friends. I also feel that my facebook account is to personal to just keep on adding anyone who wants to be my "friends". I believe in keeping my relationship with my officemates and staffs on a professional level. Do you think that is advisable? Or should I accept all the friends request of my officemates?

My advice is that you keep 2 accounts one for yourself and other for ur long list of friends this way you dont miss up on anyone and don't get them irritated

I might consider doing that but is it not too much hassle having to manage two accounts?

Well you can be like me and have two facebook account. One is for my friend and one is for my office friend. Also, if you don't really know the person, simply not accept the friend request. Don't reject it, just ignore it. It really works for me that way. THanks.

That is what I do also hehehe There are others whom I know, those who work in the same company that I do but are only rank and file staffs or delivery people. I don't want to mix my personal life with them.

I'm in complete agreement with you, Silverglint. Facebook is a social networking site and should definitely remain as such. Adding a professional basis to any website can be fraught with awkwardness, anxiety, and - dare I be so melodramatic - career-killing possibilities. I'm sure that you would consider it to be a completely inappropriate undertaking to have your friends socialising with you at work; so it makes little sense to have your worklife enter your personal life. (And how can you possibly complain about the awful day that you had if the crux of your status update can be repeated to your boss?)

hehehe that is true, although I am very careful about that I post on my Facebook status. I try not to post my negative thoughts, although if I really have to express myself, I try to be as subtle as possible
