How do I approach my friends to sign up for my site?

Any GPT (get paid to) site will tell you that the best referrals are friends and family. I will skip family for persoanal reasons (but mainly because they don't speak English) I have tons of friends on facebook that I could turn into referrals. I also have a lot acquaintances, people I know but aren't really close to, that are potential referrals. How should I approach them so that they join my GPT sites? I would like to refer them to Swagbucks as it is easy to earn there (and not boring like PTC (paid to click) sites). Should I approach different people in different ways?

Don concentrate only on your friends and family ,move out of you comfort jone.they may not be like wat u offer to them..join forums and promote wat you are offering.then you ll see a gradual improvement in ur sign-up program.

I've tried that and had little success. I am not the only promoting GPT sites so there is a lot of competition. I am trying to go back to friends as I never asked them to sign up before.
