I hate crimson wave days most especially cramps! There were times it's so painful that I could die. Sometimes, I even cry. I take pills for my cramps. I also use hot water bottles. Anyway, I read in some magazines that skipping soda and exercising a week before the monthly period prevent cramps. Reduce caffeine and salt intake. (:

I'm amazed no one else has replied to your discussion! I thought cramps were a common symptom of menstruation!
Anyway, I suffer from bad cramps. Usually I take Advil Liquid Gels. They really do work wonders. But, if I don't want to take any pills, I use a heating pad. It helps to ease the tense muscles. I just plug it in an outlet, place it on my abdomen and voila! The pain isn't half as bad. Good luck! Periods can be quite the punishment.
