Is Dhoni right captain for the Indian team?

Hi friends,
From the past some years, Dhoni is leading Indian Cricket Team. But for a change BCCI can make Yuvraj as a captain and i think he can do the big difference for the Indian Cricket. What do you think about it. Is it good or bad for Indian Cricket.

I think Dhoni is a better captain than Yuvraj Singh. Dhoni is always calm and composed. He is more capable than Yuvraj Singh to handle pressures of keeping the wickets, Batting and Captaining together which he has already demonstrated, while it will be better for Yuvraj to focus only on his batting

Why, i think yuvraj is also having the talent for leading the batting. He can change the game at any moment, but unfortunately he is not in good form at this IPL. BCCI should took some testing with other players, because they always should not depend on Dhoni.

Well friend, i was remember you a thing, Gambhir is not a good captain form delhi daredevils. But Yuvraj is good captain for Kings XI, he take his team to semi finals in the first edition of IPL, 5th place in his second edition. The captain should have the talent to fight and hold for senior players. I think yuvraj and sehwag has the capability other than Dhoni and Ganguly. But Gambhir was the wrong choice.

Then how he deserves the captain of Indian cricket team...?? I think shewag can be the captain of India.. because, he can make the team to go in the right way...[/b]

Yes bhaskar, you was correct. Dhoni is a successful captain and all are waiting for his success to continue. Once ganguly was the successful captain and he faced some failures continously. Then dravid came to replace him. Though he can't make success to Indians. Then Dhoni came and he make success for past two years. As a captain, he doesn't play nothing important to India. There is no captain innings. I think only the luck was keeping him as a successful captain.

I think everybody has their style of batting,But that has got nothing to do with captaining a side.
He is a very cool and successful captain.

That would be a disaster if you ask me. Dhoni is doing everything right at the moment. Currently he is in top of his game. He is very smart when it comes to captaincy. He seems to know what to do at the right stages and how to tackle the situation. There is absolutely no reason to drop his captaincy when he is performing so well... Dropping him will only make him feel low. And on top of that, Dhoni is consistent! Yuvraj isn't consistent at all. I agree with everything that Yuvraj is a great batsman and all that but not consistent enough!
To make it short, I don't think any valid reason to drop Dhoni from captaincy at the moment. May be if he's injured and can't play we can think of the other alternatives. But for now, a big NO from me.

Dhini.Dhoni.Dhoni,he is the best.
Why try and break the team .There is no such a great captain as dhoni ,he is the best captain I have ever see.
If yuvi start captaining the team ,then he will lose all his form(already he is in a tuff situation.). Luckly he got selected to the squad for the WC .
dhoni can captain well under pressure .He even while in pressure bats well.Most of them fails there.
India would not like to miss dhoni.Hope he willo serve India for long time

So you think, the captain will make yuvraj to not perform well. So what dhoni had done with bat still now. I doesn't see any captain's innings from Dhoni.

I dont think Yuvaraj can manage a team as captain. He is great player, but cant handle both like Dhoni. Dhoni has much capability and i am die hard fan of him. A best captain who focus well and best example is the fieldings so far. Dhoni is better to lead the team now than Yuva.

I doesn't like dhoni and as Yuvraj too. But what dhoni is doing there. If he captaincy for Bangladesh and if he makes the team to victory then he will be the good captain. When the team is in good form, every one can hadle the situation properly better than dhoni.

I think Dhoni is a better captain . He has been very cool on-field and his field settings are very good.

Well he is not calm person. He is aggressive than yuvraj. I think he showed his nature in IPL against Kings XI punjab.

Please don't mark my response as negative as I like Dhoni more than Yuvi.

I think Dhoni is a much calmer and mature person than Yuvi. Yuvi is more aggressive, which is a great quality to have as an individual player. But I think that to be a captain, you need to have a calmer, more mature outlook. Just look at how CSK performed. I think Dhoni is a very sharp captain and his field placements used to be brilliant. ;)
