My cup tatses like coffee now. -.-

In my house we all have our own coffee mugs for the morning and we all know it. We all follow the rules taht you dont touch the other persons and you wash it every night so you have it for the next morning. But mky father decided to break this pack (both said and unsaid) and have his daily/morning coffee in MY coffee mug! :0
I only drink green tea and absolutely dispise coffee and when I tried to use it yesterday I relized that the taste of coffee remains even after a number of washes the night before! Is tehre any way to get rid of this?!
Does anyone else have similar experiences?

yeah, no matter yuo wash it, after some time
cups, glasses even dishes smells on something that you have
mostly put in them, maybe because
if you drink some coffee everyday in the same cup
and it stays in the cup for at least 30 minutes
the smells just "absorbs" in the cups
and no matter you wash it, it stays
there and you can't get rid of it!

30 minutes, huh? So if he only had it in there for say 10 minutes it wouldnt have had tyeh same effect?
Does the type of contanor material have an effect at all?

yeah, i am pretty sure that if you leave it for 1 minutes it won't have the same affect. and it really depends on the material!
