Oh I never thought of that. I feel confident wandering around the city without a weapon. But, it's somehow good to carry one for us to be prepared from any malicious motives. In case I didn't bring any and I'm being attacked, I think my body parts will be my defenses.LOL. The very first thing that I will do is to crush his balls so hard that he couldn't help but cry in pain. Girl Power! Bang!!!

haha. Now you're giving me a bright idea. When girls attack, I can bring them down through biting them and even cut their ears by biting.LOL.

pepper spray is useful too but it could create some accidental false alarm by unintentionally spraying a "good person" particularly onto the eyes, 'coz I've encountered it with my friend's pepper spray in which I though at first is a cologne or body spray. While we were talking inside a small room, I was picking out some things from her bag and saw a cologne/body spray and press it, I was surprised that it turned out to be a pepper spray and so my friend grabbed it from my hand, fortunately the spray hole wasn't positioned towards my face, but since we were in a very small airconditioned room, the pepper particles went with the air and onto our eyes, it was very very painful and it took a few hours after the sore was completely gone, that was a very funny moment.. me, I've nothing in my bag that could be a weapon for self-defense.. my dad once gave me a small pocket knife but my mom won't allow me to carry it, 'coz I might get detained if ever I'll undergo some security check..

Unfortunately, I have none in my bag except for a rosary and a make-up kit!I would not bring any harmful materials like a sharp object or a knife because these are prohibited when going out to mall or any places. I never dreamed to be arrested anyway. I am taking extra precautionary measures like I stopped from going out to the places I am not familiar or staying up late. Before 8:00 in the evening I am already in my room resting and reading books.

maybe girls has the sense of might something will happen..
hehehe!i always have the sense that im safe as long as im riding a taxi..

Yes I do have pepper spray in my bag. I am just worried though because I think it's way beyond its expiry date so I am not sure if it still works.
A few months ago, my baby cousin somehow found it and played with it and sprayed it to our dog. What I saw was our dog shaking its head and sneezing!

My daughter bring a cutter with her all the time. But I think it's better to bring a spray- chili or pepper spray; even perfume will do. But the best thing would be to learn karate or self-defense.

having something on your bag to protect yourself was a good idea but sometimes it will also a be the cause of accident or maybe it will be use to you instead i think one of the best way to have to protect yourself was to be knowledgeable about self defense

I used to have a cheap "swiss" knife (it's an imitation one) in my bag or pocket, but I seem to have lost it. a pepper spray would be nice but you should be careful when buying it. It shouldn't have butane in it's "ingredients" because it is flammable (duh!).
How about you acie_21? what do you have in your bag?

I used to put a small knife in my bag... But I realized it was dangerous and a little bit of a hassle...;) So, I just carry scissors and spray...;) But I could defend myself since I am into Taekwondo.:)
