I have the iPod Nono 2nd generation, I'm contemplating buying a newer version and giving the old one to my mom, but iPods aren't cheap and it would take me awhile to get enough money to buy a new one, even when they do go on sale they're still a lot of money.

I have an ipod touch which is purchased last year in the spring, so I think it is just the 2g 8g,which is just fine for me. I don't have plans to buy the 4g at least right away when it comes out anyway. I don't use my ipod touch all that much to change it. I am satisified with mine as I can still download plenty of apps for it, and the 4g having a camera, I just don't need that, as I have a digital camera, one on my phone and a webcam on my computer so I am set for cameras. I just think it is a waste of money to buy the 4g just to get the camera, however, I know it will run faster at least as far as the internet is concerned. Take care, and happy mylotting.

same here, i wouldn't just buy the 4g just because of the camera. my brother has an ipod touch, firs generation though, i think, so sometimes i get to use it and he gets the apps that i want since we both paid for it :) but we're not in a hurry to buy 4g since i also have a camera that i can use, a digital camera phone camera and a webcam. and as for the internet, my phone is capable of wifi so i'm pretty happy with the ipods that i use and have :)
