Hello MyLotters... I am sure that 'politics or tricking others' in the office isn't new to us. We experience it all the time, when we are at work... Here is a sad story of two of my colleagues who got fired for fighting in the premises... One of them is a bold and beautiful lady, who is highly aggressive. She is 25 and is pretty matured, but her straight forward attitude makes her sound blunt sometimes.. The other one is a guy of 19, just passed out from high school and started working. He has all the childishness and immaturity in the world... You can imagine, what will happen if they spent a couple of hours together... It started during the lunch break. The guy picked up all the sweets that was served in the lady's plate, which made her lose her control and she is 'things' to him. He responded too! But as we were there, we thought it our duty to interfere as their good friends. So it stopped there and everyone forgot it. But in the evening they fought in the arena, in the company premises! I wasn't there, unfortunately. From what I heard later, it was too hot to handle.. They cursed each other, slapped and kicked... And all the time, our manager was present in the arena... Both of them got sacked, immediately... Wonder a small thing like sharing meal, led to so much... I mean, this is one of the finest company ever and they'll never be able to apply here again... Sad and tragic!!! That is how all of us felt the next day. Have you seen anything like this? Troubles, fights in the office? Do you think that the company management did the right thing in sacking both of them? Please share...

I have not seen such fights in the office! I think it is immaturity in the part of both the lady and the boy which led to the sacking. At least, your manager could have handled the situation before it went to that level. The company management did the right thing if the financial conditions of the lady and the boy are good. Otherwise, the management could have transferred them to different places after warning.

Yes, it was highly immatured of both of them... Everyone who was present there at that time, has said the same thing. The management sent a man yesterday to our training room to tell us that such behaviour wouldn't be tolerated. They said it affected the reputation of the company and moreover, it was entirely against the company policy... Financially, those people aren't doing so bad. But still they have lost a big company. now, they can never apply for a job in this company... That's the worst part of it... Hope they'll find good jobs somewhere else. For my part, I have been trying to help them all I can, to find a new job... I agree with you Kat, that the management should have given them a warning letter- which is the customery way here, first... We all miss them... Thanks for sharing... Have a great time!!!

Unfortunately no, but the Lady if she really educated should not fought with the 19-year old guy who only finished highschool. Not meant to discriminate, but she should have practice patience better that the younger boy.
