Chinese is a difficult language to learn, especially Mandarin.Honestly,I`m Chinese, but my mother tongue is cantoness,a kind of Chinese . The hardest part for me in learning Mandarin is pronunciation. It takes me two years to learn how to prinunciate words chearly and exactly.

Hi multicoloured, it's nice to know more languages. Yeah, if we know chinese we won't find difficulty to communicate with the local people in your place when having vacation there. I believe it is always hard for a beginner to learn whatever new language, including chinese. I think if we really want to use a language fluently in listening, speaking and writing we need to have more practice regularly for sure. Yeah, we would get twice the result with half the effort if we have someone who is good in the language to guide us all the time for sure Happy posting
