Have you ever wished on a star???

It may sound childish but yes!..I do it all the time until now 
I really want to look at the free sky especially when I'm lonely or have deep thoughts in my mind..let's say it became a habit of mine to look for the brightest star and wish for something that I really want in my heart..
I don't have the assurance if my wish will come true or not and I actually don't remember my wishes anymore on the next day but there are miracles once in a while in our life so it might be possible..
How about you guys have you tried wishing on a star before???

I have to say I have never in my 53 years of living wished upon a star. I always prayed to God for my wishes to come true. Since at this time in my life I'm praying for someone to come and buy my house so I can move to Puerto Rico and be with my one and only I will also try wishing on a star. The next evening where its really nice out and the stars are bright I will wish upon a star for the first time. I hope it works.

Aww, that does not sound childish. It sounds rather sweet and adorable :)
I have never wished upon a star. I thought the idea was to wish upon a shooting star. Either ways, I have not done it. I have never seen a shooting star in my life.
But I might just wish upon a star the next time I am gazing at that beautiful night sky. It won't do any harm at least.

hahaha!yeah i did so many times when i was still younger maybe i will do it if i see a falling star cause now i rarely go out and see the night sky.

Actually, I've wished things upon stars, however I practice it rarely. I wish things upon falling stars (comets). In my country, everyone wishes upon falling stars, and they say that you have to wish the thing you want fast, before the comet disappears. That's the coolest part, many people don't succeed to wish something so fast. About me, I don't believe in such things, I wish sometimes, but I don't believe. Maybe this is my fault ;) Good luck

yes i have that too many times.i know there is no point in it.and it sounds illogical.but i have nothing to lose if i do wish anything on a star.this is simply because what if it does turn out to be true.i have only to gain.also i have heard my grandparents talking about such myths.so for a person who has grown up listening to such stories one does tend to believe in such beliefs.

I have ever wish on a meteor. because many people claim that wishes on a meteor can be realized absolutely. It sounds childish but sometimes people will make a wish to relieve stress.

It is not that you are being childish rather you are just reminiscing the days when you were still younger. yes, I did wish for a falling star and that was New Year's Day when i did wish for it and it came true. Now I do believe that wishes do come true.

Yesterday, I got to watch "Princess and the Frog" and the father of the main character told her daughter that whenever she wishes on a star, she must remember that the star only works part of the way. Meaning, if she wishes for something, to make that wish come true she has to work for it.
It's hard to believe that stars grant our wishes, and it is indeed childish. But I do it anyway, mainly just for fun, or wishful thinking, but when I really wish hard for something, I pray for it to The One who really hears our prayers.

hey khaezi...till now I haven't wished anything on a star but yea I have heard alot about it. People mostly wish on a shooting star but I don't even do that. But yea I wish by seeing in the sky. Actually my mother everytime says me that if you see in the sky and pray anything to God, that prayer will come true, so till now I just pray by looking at the sky but not to a star or anything else. Maybe when I was a kid, but I don't remember my wishes. But I admit that I wish on meteors! I watch meteor showers and wish on each meteor that falls! It won't do me any harm you know; I just find them absolutely adorable. I still believe that it's prayer that changes things.

I did once when I was studying for the only subject I have failed twice. I happened to see a falling star and make a wish immediately. The only wish that crossed my mind is passing that subject I am taking for the 3rd time. Hopefully I passed but don't know if that is because of the star, because I studied well or I almost familiarized myself of the formulas for taking the subject three times... Hmmmmm
