Are referrals active if they join from Paid to sign up programs in PTC sites?

Hi, Every body knows how important it is to have referrals if we are working with PTC sites. There are many ways to get referrals for our programs. However if we assign any paid to sign up task in sites like microworkers, do the referrals click ads after completing the sign up process and getting paid? I am looking to try this. What is your experience on this?
