Shown on TV is Nanay Curing and she is crying on television. I smirked. I just find it too heartless for someone who is seeking the highest position in the land to have your mom wail in public like that. Why couldn't he just allow his mom to stay away from all this trouble and have peace of mind. The mother has degraded herself as if she is begging.Besides, by the way she looks, it seems that she was being belittled in the market only from her point of view because she might be feeling insecured in those times of her life. Nobody could bully anyone if one is strong willed and it looks like Villar's mother was not strong person. It is showing now in the TV ads how she was.

I totally agree with you. With that commercial, Villar just went down another notch in my opinion. No self-respecting son will put his own mother in public like that. It is embarrassing. The very fact that he put his own mom on television behaving like that shows how desperate he is to attract people's sympathy. I hope he does not win. Noynoy may not be that experienced but I'd rather choose an inexperienced person but with good morals and integrity over corrupt politicians like Villar.

It's too much drama and too much crap. If you were really poor there is nothing to prove, people will know about it anyway. This move of Villar is just so dumb and it shows how desperate he is to win this elections. Instead of giving the public a clear picture of his platform he keeps on putting on this whole drama---which is crap! I like Gordon and Gibo better, Jamby, Noynoy and Villar they are all involved in mudslinging. It's like hitting each other below the belt. Where's the dignity in that?

Hi there mimiang!
I saw this on news a couple of days back. I pity the old woman. She was used by her desperate son. Maybe he thought that by using his mother, he could persuade Filipinos to vote for him. Oh yeah, just like how they do it in those cheap soap operas. Poor Nanay Curing..

Actually I saw it on TV, the interview of Manny Villar's mother, I was very aghast and disappointed with how Villar behaved like this. I mean why on earth he allowed it?his mother is so weak and frail to be included in his dirty tactics, he could have spare his mother from all these troubles surrounding him, it looks like he has a permission into it because his sister, who accused all the press people of bias against her brother, was there standing beside the mother.
It was an unethical behavior of a man who is seeking a presidency, it sounds like he is very desperate to win, using his frail and old mother is a rude and arrogant behavior. Goodness, is he that desperate?

They should have left the old mom alone. Politics is really dirty as far as I know and mudslinging will never stop as long as the May 2010 election isn't over yet. For me, I don't want the media to involve his old mom, let the mom have her peace.
As for the people, they have to vote wisely not being urge because of what the survey is saying or because this candidate is said to be known and influential. We should vote a leader who is going to fight corruption and poverty and injustices in our country. Not because their folks is also begging or not. Peace to all.

Nanay Curing must be Manny Villar's last card. His rating is going down and he's flooded with sooo much controversy, i think his mom is his last resort to prove that he was POOR. Please Mr.Villar stop insisting! I pity Nanay Curing and i wouldn't be surprise if one of these days she'll be hospitalized because of anxiety attack.

nanay curing deserves more than that. manny should have not dragged his mother in this kind of thing, much more politics, in order to gain sympathy. look at the responses, did it help? it will just pull him down because we all have parents and we don't want that kind of trouble for them.

First of all, I have not seen the interview or whatever.
But I'm curious to those who would look at this as a campaign tactic, have you considered voting for Villar and suddenly you are turned off by this development?
It would be interesting to know if your voting decision is indeed affected.

Yeah seen that too and I am not impressed by that kind of gimik. If he is poor before and had managed to be rich fine people will admire him for that but he need not to broadcast it. If you had done something to help others it will be known too. But using your mother in TV crying as if explaining or begging or wailing in defense of his child is not good. If you are in politics expect your family to be involved and the politician must be the one to defend his family and not otherwise. Anyway to all the voters just choose wisely.
