Why did Villar's ratings go down?

In the latest SWS survey, Villar and Erap are tied for the second spot. Erap says that this came from the undecided, who now have come out to side with him, the real pro-poor candidate. SWS says that the number of undecided is the same. The change in the numbers came from the migration of supporters from one to the other. What do you think? Has all the black propaganda affected Villar's campaign only? What do you think should Villar do to get back on track?

hi there, i think those issues do really affect Villar already. i pity the guy (well i am not really into any candidate) but i think people are joining forces to put Villar down...hehe was he that strong? i am not really sure what else Villar should do to be back on tract when it seems that even the media is feeding the issues. even his mom and daughter already speak out, i don't know if it will help him. haiz! politics! anyway, whoever wins i feel like nothing will really change. they are all the same with one intention...to be in MalacaƱang!

It might be the fault of his handlers. Their attacks have boomeranged on their own candidates. Take for example the issue of Noynoy's mental health. They accuse Noynoy of mental health issues using documents that are fake. Any person would have thought twice if they used real reports (setting aside the issue of doctor-patient confidentiality). Then instead of correcting the first mistake, they compound it by issuing another fake report. Really, people, once is a mistake, but twice is just unforgivable. Then Villar says, so what if its fake, is it true? Duhh, NP people need a dictionary. So you did not like his family speaking out also? I found it in bad taste. We need facts, not an appeal to emotion.

lol! i have been hearing about this noynoy's mental health issue even before it is being 'exposed' hehe i have heard this from some i think they are congressmen. i just overhear it when i attended a wake a there are some politicians there talking. (it was last year) they don't even know yet that noynoy is really running. anyway, i think his handlers do have a mistake in there and what they've done is something like a desperate move. i just wonder shy they are doing those things, can't they focus their campaign in the platforms and not with the issues against their opponents? huh! all of them are the same, bad mouthing each other! they are all using black propaganda to bring each other down. well, well we can't blame them, you know, they are trying to get sympathy. knowing most filipinos...

As for me, the issues that Villar's camp did as well as those by his opponents have affected villar's rating. It seems that it had made Villar's "user image"-- user of the poor, of his mother and of the people who'd help him pull down his contenders with the use of his money.

Why would I give suggestions to a candidate I don't like? He uses poverty to appeal to the majority of voters and gives out empty promises. He never showed up to at least defend himself on the C5 scandal issue, what makes you think he'll show up to any hearing if say for example he gets accused of corruption? I've heard him answer questions on what his plans are when he becomes president and I find them unrealistic. And worst of all, he used his mother to appeal to the people, how low is that? And to think his mother is already very old, why would he allow her to experience these pressures? If he can do that to his own mother, I hate to think what he can do to his constituents if he wins.

I don't believe in surveys. Or maybe I should. i don't know. Well here is my opinion why Villar went down and at Erap's level. Because it was all about "himself". We all know that he's rags to riches and his experience is genuine. We all know that for a fact and it is even used against him. He didn't question the credibility of being a president of the on top of him which is Noynoy. We could have seen if Noynoy could lead a country. For others they don't want Villar to win because how will he gain the money from campaigning. I don't like Noynoy to win because what would the man do? I don't see any credibility not right now. Erap? What would other country think about us as a Filipino men which we tried to oust him and now he's back, maybe as a future president? He was never ousted by the way, he stepped down. My presidential bets are not really the three, but whoever wins. "Umayos siya." Am I being to harsh? please advise me so. thank you.

ya i think there is a change in the minds of all the people in the world and some have to be in shade and it is the same case ..there are a lots of things in these places and my idea is that people now a days they love to be in the place which is so safe to them and they are fixed in the job so no one is likely to have a free time with their family and only some is going to have relax from the job and do something beyond the limit and be different and i want do be different..

Im on the opposition team as of villar, I never relly like the guy and what he stands for--you see people are not so ignorant anymore and information can be found everywhere-the media--the net--really poor guy--how can he hide his identity--worse, he should have been prepared that election brings out every dirt you have in public. Its a shallow deregatory of one's name game, but candidates will do everything to put one down I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS WHAT OUR LEADERS HAVE BECOME NOW--I used to think that good or bad publicity it is still a publicity---I guess we are all learning, and we cannot fault the Filipinos for learning from our past.

Well I think it has something to do with all the propaganda he made against Noynoy lately that his camp persistently putting him down. Now the third placer Erap tried to pull him down as well and I think it worked. The propaganda made to Noynoy bounced back at him and the propaganda he received from Erap work positively on Erap. So it seems that it turned out negatively on him.

I believe, him used her mother for her campaign made her ratings goes down . I thought by using his mother, he will get the sympathy of some of the mother out there, but when I asked the opinion of some of the people, they were turned-off for what Manny Villar done. Her mother is very old, many people get irritated because her mother supposed to be resting, but then she have been used for his campaign. LIke he will do all it takes to make him win the vote of the Filipinos.

First of all, I really dont want to shout who will be my president for this coming election. I just want to share and comment something about the survey going on. Do you believe the survey is true? For me, I bet it is not accurate one. If you doing a survey you need the statistical thing to take a "sample people" which we will be equal to the whole population of the true event. In other word. if you will take the population of the philippines who will vote it is about 40Million population you need to take at least 10,000 people to 20,000 as you sample to take the survey. If Im not mistake the sample is just only 2000 people, based on statistic study it is not that accurate as it. May be their is lot of changes in the actual based of event. If you are studying statistic subject you know what I mean. Anyway, I hope the one who in charge of survey need to take the survey seriously. If you are the voter, please hear my advice.. vote the one who you think is the desrving one and who is in your heart not the one who you think the no.1 in the survey and follow it in your vote. Who ever your president you choose win or loss at least you know you make the right choice.

i think it is because of the issues thrown at villar that made his ratings go down. i think even his mother's press con was not liked by the people.

He use the poor children who doesn't even know what is the real election and claiming he is poor like them, even though he came from a private school during his school days when he was a child. How come he earn so fast when he is really poor that time? well his mother is a businesswoman that time people might be thinking wisely this time. He use his mother too for his add which is not appropriate. He don't face the C5 accusation which is really true admitted by the El Shaddai leader.

I think the people now in the philippines have already realized that a politician who spends a lot of money in the election campaign might corrupt the gov't's money soon enough if they will be elected or chosen in their desired position.

Yes they do affected Villar and I'm glad it did. The people should his intentions better. On the other hand, I could not believe it worked to the advantage of Erap. How can people still think of voting for this man. Ha!ha!ha! Well God forbid! If Erap made it again, then the whole world will laugh at this country! This brainless man can't rule the country well. We have had a bad taste of him and I wonder why people are still considering this drunkard. Can I blame this on the poor who are easily beguiled by the words " Erap para sa mahirap". Indeed Erap is pro poor every election time but after the election... He is but for himself.

I think that's one of the reason, Erap calling him a Liar and i think people are really exhausted of the exchange of dirty talk with his number one nemesis, Noynoy.
