There are so many of them that I have lost track. I know some of them because I know their supporters or their nominees. Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about the party itself. I don't want to vote because I know the people, that's trapo politics. What about you, do you have a party-list in mind already for the 2010 elections? Why are you voting for this party-list?

Actually I forgot the name of their party but I was trying to consider the party list of the teachers. I have high respect for teachers.

Teachers are another sector in our society who are truly marginalized. They have low pay and work under conditions that are sometimes intolerable. My grandmothers were both teachers and I saw how they had to give up part of their salary just to teach. I hope they get seats in Congress. It's about time that their salaries are raised to more humane levels.

Yeah true. That's why I try to rebuke my classmates whenever they act so rude against my teachers. They act that way because they think teachers are there because of their tuition fees. Without the students, tecahers will be nothing. SO pitiful.

I am just as confused as you are. I could not even see their purpose and for the past years I have not known of a single thing that this partylist has done for their members or even to the country. So, i guess I am leaving it blank. No shading of party list for me. I believe they should be scrapped anyway.

For the most part, the party-list system has not made a dent in Congress. Probably because Congress is dominated by the powerful and the rich and the party list represent the marginalized sector. It is hard to make your voice heard here where the sharks hunt. I do hope you will reconsider. They need every vote they can get.

i am not considering of voting any party list. these candidates have created all sorts of alliances, of groups and they have done nothing in the past years where they have been voted and had been placed in the congress. they just all claimed the money and has no developed or concrete plans for the welfare of the groups they are suppose to have been representing. I hate these people who are doing this! Its just plain evil!

There are people who exploit the party list system because the congressmen, who are suppose to put teeth in the constitutional provision are not doing their job, whether out of negligence or deliberately to favor politicians. However, the reality is that there are marginalized sector and this is their only opportunity for a voice in Congress.

None! i wont be voting any, they should be at least representing the marginalized sector of the country but it turns out party list is just being abused by people whom knows they wont be able to run in congress using the traditional method thats why they just choose to represent( as if they are a part of the particular sector) the said party list.It gives me the reason to laugh at them and tag them as TRAPOS

There are politicians who are using the party list for their own benefits like Angelo Reyes and yes, Mikey Arroyo. They are not ashamed to exploit the flaws in the law which they themselves made. However, there are also deserving party list who really need representation in Congress and this is their only chance.

I agree, Mindanao is a neglected island just because of all the peace and order problems there. This island has a great potential to anchor the development of the country, but sadly, the government has been concentrating its resources in Luzon. They are marginalized and need representation.

Yes, Gabriela is one party list which truly represents a marginalized sector in our society, the women. As a woman of course I support their cause, although sometimes I do not agree with their methods. However, giving them a voice in Congress would be beneficial especially there are legislations which have been shelved by conservative macho men.
