Hi myLotters! There are different ways to study things, these are by reading books, buying CDs/DVDs, browsing on the internet, or enrolling in a school or institution. Enrolling in a school for a specific course is costly compared to the other ways I have mentioned which are more of a self-study ways. Me I prefer to learn through CDs and internet. Actually CDs is what I most prefer since it doesn't need internet connection and I can easily browse the topics in an ease. Actually I more prefer video tutorials than reading texts. I find it easier to learn since aside from watching it, there's also an explanation. But I admit, there's really a lot of information on the internet that's why it's always useful. So in learning things, I prefer CDs and internet. How about you, in what way do you prefer to study things? I would be grateful to know your answer. Have a great day! :)

I prefer learning from a wide varieties of sources, that is, from textbooks, internet, DVD videos, and of course, a live human expert. With all these resources at hand, it makes learning and mastering a subject topic much easier and more efficient.

I prefer reading books or papers.I don't like audio books and ebooks.Audio books and ebooks are new to me.I am not comfortable in reading them and don't have the habit of reading on system. I don't get the feel of the subject if it is some ebook. My be due to the habit of reading books from childhood I love it.Even video tutorials are suitable to me.

experience is the best teacher.... nothing beats it. books, dvd/cd/internet are just preliminary information that opens portals but they can never give you authentic experience...

Hi jersonsteiner! Yes, learning though experience is really the best way. Once you have already applied it to your life or you have already experienced it, you can say that you really know what it is or how it works. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

When I have access to the Internet, I search online about the things I want to learn about. Of course there's also books and magazines. I also learn from people I get to encounter everyday. It's effective for me because if I have questions I can ask them in an instant because they're just there.

I prefer reading but it really depends on what. If i want to repair my phone for example, i prefer a video tutorial but if i'm studying, i'd rather read it than watch cuz when i'm watching, i prefer to be entertained most of the time.

Hi libramie! Yes we are very fortunate because studying is a lot easier now compared to the past. With the internet and cds/dvds alone, we can already find a huge variety of information. We don't need that much effort anymore. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I studied at the university and received my BA and MA there. Since graduating, I've attended several more classes at the university and at a community college and have studied everything from industrial engineering to horseback riding. I also learn by reading publications (not necessarily books or magazines). I've done some learning with CDs, to include Spanish, the Art of Argumentation, and Mathematics. I also do a tremendous amount of research/learning via the internet.

I prefer reading from printed materials or books rather than reading directly from the computer. I don't know why but when I read through the pc, I can't comprehend what I read.

Hi saranggola! Yes, reading through printed materials is healthier and cost cheaper. You don't have to get some radiation and no electricity consumption as well. It's really a good way in reading. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I prefer reading books. For others they will find it a little dirty, but I usually highlight important articles. I can't study without my highlighters. Even if I really need to study, I will still go the bookstore to buy highlighters, otherwise, it will be hard for me to digest what I am reading. Some of my materials are available on soft copies. I make it a point to add it on my itunes so I can listen to it through my Ipod. This makes my memory more active.

harold__ks at my age reading is great for learning new things but the
net makes it easier for my elderly and tired eyes, and its so much
fun to find all the things that I love to learn in easy to read
and comprehend right on the net. Really a cool way to learn as my son points out to me.The information on the net is what sold me at my age of fifty something thirty years ago and it is even more so today. thats why I bust my hands typing at mylot so I can afford the cable which gives me the net that gives me all the information and mylot too.

There's not much useful than an actual way of learning for me,when it comes to basic matter I can consider to learn from IE or cd perhaps but I still prefer to enter school or maybe a program to learn precisely about things and other.I love gaining knowledge from professionals and even I love learning things from an actual speaker!Happy myLotting!

Hi cloud31! Yes, attending classes or enrolling in a school is really the best way to learn, as long as you have the budget for it. It's good since you have an interaction with your teacher, not just a one sided learning. But of course you can also followed it up by having cds and books plus browsing to the internet. It will really be a good learning experience. Thank you for responding! Have a great day! :)
