What did everyone think of last week's episode?
I thought it was another great episode, looked even better after the flawed Victory of the Daleks last week. We got the return of River Song, and the Blink angels, who are much more powerful this time around.
The episode just seemed to click, from the very unWho start (I really wondered if I was watching the right show until I saw River) to finding out museums are how the Doctor keeps score, to well everything. I liked that we got an action scene and then went to 12,000 years later. We haven't had as much time travel logic with the new Who, I remember an episode of City of Death with Baker where part of the solution involved the Doctor going back in time to have Picasso (I think) make fake paintings to trick the bad guy. He has a time machine people, why isn't time travel logic used a wee bit more?
This was also a pretty funny episode, I especially loved the Doctor asking where the landing sound was and imitating it. They also explained years and years of Dr Who logic in a few sentences, the TARDIS doesn't fly straight and safely, because using the stabilizers wouldn't be any fun, and the noise is because the breaks are on and he thinks the sound is brilliant.
The Weeping Angels were once again creepy, and I like that they came back. A bit sad that River is in another episode where the big creepy monster takes the voice of a dead person to communicate, it's a bit of a repeat of the Library story, but oh well.
Overall a great episode I felt, and I can't wait to see part two in two days.

The episode just had some big flaws to it is all. There was a whole subplot introduced and just tidily tossed to the side (the whole female assistant to Churchhill losing her boyfriend) and the acting wasn't as strong as before.
I didn't hate the episode by any means, I just thought it was one of the weaker episodes this series. But the episodes have been very strong so it's not a huge insult. It was better then the second Silaran story by far.

I enjoyed both episodes and felt they were cleverly written, creepy and atmospheric. I think River Song will be back for the finale too. I think Matt Smith is great as the Doctor and has a wonderful charm about him.

I thought this episode was the best so far, the first two parter and I have to say I really enjoyed Matt Smiths performance in this one. The cliffhanger left you wanting more and made you really anticipate the next part.
The bit about leaving the breaks on the Tardis was just priceless. Also good to see more of River Song and a bit more development of her character.
