the mavs got eliminated by the spurs, the first team in the western conference to move to the second round of the playoffs. it was really an upset considering the fact that the mavs were highly favored to win against the spurs. george hill was again the big player of the night for the spurs. as for the mavs, it was again a very disappointing playoff series.

yeah, the mavs lost yet another playoff series even when they were ranked higher in the playoff. it also happened after bringing good players such as marion, butler, and company. i could imagine dirk getting impatient and frustrated. but the spurs played well and their veteran players with mcdyess and jefferson look to another title. they may find very strong resistance from the second round opponent, phoenix suns.

it's already a surprise for me that the spurs are in the second round of the playoffs considering that they are only seeded no 7. but of course, the spurs have been champions before and they are a good team. they have matured and is now playing very well. let's see what happens in the second round.

The San Antonio Spurs needed another scorer other than the three veterans of Ginobili, Parker and Duncan. The prayer was answered, thanks to the explosion of George Hill. He was phenomenal on 2 of the games with San Antonio winning on two important games.
