Repetition of life experiences

Yesterday morning I had my second stroke that put me in bed again. The first stroke was in 2004. I was unable to walk and was in bed for 3 days after which I started walking like a little child. With confidence and challenge I came back to normal life. The life after that till yesterday was almost smooth.
More than the pain at my spinal bones, it is the uncertainty in life which I feel is more painful. The doctor said I can walk again, but need rest for some days.
I feel like my past days of 2004 are back with me.... repetition of life experiences. Do you ever have such kind of feelings? Please share.

Im so sorry you had another stroke. Take good care of yourself.
4 years ago, my husband had one. It started very slowly, he couldnt feel the tip of his fingers and his leg was bothering him. I took him to the hospital but they said we'd have to wait 10 hrs !!!!!
I found a private doctor and took him there. He was given medication for his high blood pressure and told to not have any salt and anything that might have salt in it. Then once the blood pressure was down, about 6 months, he was told he could cook food with salt but NOT add any and NOT eat any prepared food or junk foods.
He can control his blood pressure now and thats great.
Were you told what you can eat and cant eat? were you given medication to control your blood pressure?

Thanks for your suggestions and support. The doctor has told not to take fast food and those kept in refrigerator. Medication is limited to pain killers. He told the rest is with me how fast I want to walk normal.

Sometimes as i age i feel the same way.But don't let the feeling get the better of you.You are going to recover and lead a normal healthy life.Do regular exercise and physiotherapy and you'll be as good as any youngster.Try to change only those habits that will hamper your health.Otherwise be positive and you'll be on your feet again. As you've written in your introduction write these experiences in sand and your positive nature which you have in abundance on stone.I wish you a quick and a speedy recovery.

So sorry to hear about your stroke and pain.
Try to remember each day is a new experience. You aren't the same person you were in 2004. You have overcome before, you can do it again.
I think we all slump into feeling like we are repeating things in life, sometimes. I try to figure out if I missed a lesson the first time, but that's not always the reason we repeat life's lessons. We just live in a broken down world where things happen.
I agree with the others about health issues, but right now rest. Calm your mind and look beyond the recovery. I know you can do it.

Thanks for your support. After almost 7 days of bed rest, now I can walk, though with some difficulty. Hope it will improve further.

Was just going through some old discussions and read this one. How are you now? Are you better and back on your feet? We have to think positive whenever we are sick or low and that will help us improve. Take care of your self and dont think that the past is coming back. Wish you good luck and good health.

aryajayaprakash you need to lower your blood pressure so get your doctor to start giving you blood pressure medications as herbals stuff is not going to stop your high blood pressure and lose some weight, and watch you have been doing so you will not have another even worse stroke that will really keep you down. When I broke my shoulder badly and had a shoulder joint replacement I found after extensive rehab I still could only lift my arm about thirty degrees.so essentially my left arm is fairly useless. But now I have began to realize I have learned to cope with not being able to use it to reach high shelves, I ask for help and get it.

Blood pressure is the villain in most cases. Doctor told me to lay flat in a wooden cot for one week. Pain killers will just help to forget the pain. I will not go for the herbal stuff at this moment. Thanks for your advise.

I’ve felt déjà vu occur in my life on several occasions but, for me, it has been more to do with emotional experiences, you know, certain patterns that are damaging but you seem to repeat them over and over? When I’ve been in yet another similar scenario I have to ask myself when will I ever learn? For you though it is a serious health issue that has lead to you be unwell in your bed again and that is something you are not responsible for but I am sure it is tough for you and you feel as though you are reliving when it happened to you the first time. You know you got well then and you will be well again. Keep your spirits as positive as you can, take the rest you need. I will send some prayers for your speedy recovery. Take care.
