In fact most people's deposit is less than the money they should have saved. I guess the reason for this phenomenon is people's feeling of money. I am quite sure that for most people spending money is a cheerful enjoyment, but the saving is like a painful punishment. Whereas, if we want to be rich or have our own enterprise, saving money is the problem you have to face in your way, and you cann't ignore the price and buy whatever you want. So my friends, do you agree with me,tell me do you usually save money? And how?

After all these online earning experience in my life, I realized, that saving money is better to be done in your online bank account like Alerpay, PayPal and so on. When all my money are in my hands, It is harder to be saved. Thats why I like Internet payment processors.

I push my self to save money in monthly basis. i have some instruments. two of them are unit links that comprises insurance and investment scheme. others are setting my account to automatically debit restricted account in monthly basis. i have at least 2 restricted account. these restricted accounts have expiry date, once it reach the due date i will receive the savings and can spend it for my plan. most of the time i set the expiry date for only one year. but i have restricted account for 5 years plan.

I would have to disagree in regards to myself. I am a saver. I have to save as much as posiible of everything. I bugdet everything for the month to the T. I am a bit of a control freak and it kind of drives my husband crazy, but if its not in the budget you can't get it and spend it, lol. WE are the opposite here because he is the spending. I guess its a good thing that we balance eachother because we would be in a box if we both loved to spend money. I'm sure people would want to save more, but shiny thing s are just so irresistable at times. With most it probably will come over time with maturity or more responsibilities to see you are not able to keep the same habits if you have certain goals you want to meet. But I have always been this way even as a child had to put everything up in my account. My grandpa always told me you don't want to owe to noone that is why he pays cash for everything. But to each their own. Good luck all Mylotters with yuor saving experiences.

I saved money by not eating in a very expensive restaurant eventhough I wanted too. Depositing my money in the bank and I am leaving my bank card when I go out is one way to save money. Calculating expenses a day is a way to know how much your going to spend.

I think you hit it on the head about saving money being viewed as something painful. I think the key to make it less painful is by not thinking about it. The way to do that is enroll in an automatic saving plan so you don't even think about the money anymore. It's like getting taxes taken out your check except now it's coming to you. That's the way I have combatted the horrible feeling of saving. lol
I also use credit cards that give me points which is like savings because I can often use those points for anything I want. So that's another thing to consider if you're the type that pays your bill in full every month.

In my experience saving money can be a little problem at times, but when I feel I really want something, but I know that I will have no money left if I do go out and buy it, I wil simply count the money I have saved and I will feel better to have the money. Then it doesn't matter what I want to buy on impulse and I will continue saving. I just think to myself, that one day, I will be able to buy anything within moderation of course! _Derek

Saving money is important and of course you should at least live within your means and not spend more than you have to start with!
My ways of saving are:
1) I have a savings account with a standing order on my current amount so a set amount is saved automatically every month.
2) I question everything I buy- do I need it? will I use it? I tend to find out as much about an expensive item to make sure it is the right thing to buy and is the best deal available
3) I don't smoke or drink!
4) I walk when time and whether permits
5) I make my own food from scratch and don't eat out (this is health related rather than money but it saves a LOT)

i've been a stay at home mom by choice since 2007 and this is the only time i was able to open a time deposit account. that is for my son but since he is just 4 years old it is in my name. when i was working i used to have two types of accounts in 2 banks. one is a savings account and the other one is in dollars account. however, easy access to these accounts made them all go away fast.
i think saving entails knowing what can and cannot work for you. the basics of savings is nothing new for me: 10% of any money received goes away to be saved and the rest is for spending. however, new and beautiful things do come our way most of the time and it is where how much we can decently own something that is the culprit on why people cannot save. like, do you know that it is already considered decent to own 5-6 pieces of everyday shirts? 5-6 pieces of work clothes? 5-6 pieces pairs of shoes? 1 dozen underwear? there are many guidelines out there. people aren't just interested in them. this is the main reason why those who have money and knows how to save it never seem to lack any of it although they also suffer when the economy does. it is the limited no. of things one can own that they are able to buy the most expensive of these kinds of things since they had been saving all along by limiting the no. of things they can buy.
it is my access to these accounts that is the problem. that is why am trying to make my paypal money go up to the minimal amount in dollars time deposit here and there in the bank it would go again. i'd spend some but the rest is for savings. besides i don't want to spend if i cannot share.
i guess my reply is long already but saving money is like eating. you can eat whatever you want and stay slim as long as you follow the recommended amount of servings per eating. you can buy whatever you want even with meager resources if you know how much you can have.

Right now the economy of our family is not allowing us to save money because of the fact that we are paying the stupid tax (credit card debt) from when we were younger. However, a little over a year ago my husband and I decided to enroll in a debt management plan which has frozen our credit but costs us a big chunk every month. The thing is that we have less than two and a half years to go before we will be out of credit card debt and at that point we will already know how to live within our means so that we will be able to save money then.

Save is not a word I would call it, I would call it smart spending. If I wanted shoes or clothes, I would look for those discount prices or pick a day where shops are most likely to have discounts like christmas sales or something like that. When I am buying groceries, I always buy those store selections where it is a bit cheaper (by $2 usually) but just as good as any brands.

I put my saving in my saving account.I buy gold as a reserve. I generally have little amount of money to save. But even with those small amounts I buy gold, silver.Buying ornaments is always valuable. The prices of them increases day by day and we can sell them for the amount which is more than what we have bought.

I believe the best way to save money you have earned is to invest it to something else that can make you more money. It could be education, skill training, investmnet business, and so on.
Money is all about use it or leave it.

You can save money by only buying the things that you really need and if you really want to buy something look for a cheaper version of it. You can also save money by using less electricity so that the electricity bill won't be that high. And lastly you can save money by not always going out to the mall so that you won't spend money on paying for gas since gas is very expensive now.

When I was younger, (if I am not mistaken at the age of 9) I started to think of ways how to save money - I am pertaining to coins. That is when I got introduced to a piggy bank . Me and my sister started to save money in this piggy (coin bank) during our grade school years.
