In 2002 the Convention on Biological Diversity (an international treaty designed to protect the world's wildlife, forests and plants) stated this in Hague:"We must strenghten our efforts to put in place measures to halt biodiversity loss, wich is taking place at an alarming rate by the year 2010." What were the problemes back then? Endangered species nearing extinction around the world, rainforests being cut in tropical countries, and the seas steadily being fished out. And they decided to take action. Now, we reached 2010 and the things are getting much worse. In a study published in Science the scientiest and the environmentalists around the world assessed the state of global biodiversity and discovered it has been in continuing decline. It is too late to make some changes in our behavior towards nature?
