Hi friend did you put fertilizer? You have to consequently water the plant or maybe you plant the seed to a place where it is not comfortable or too sunny.

I hear they don't need a fertilizer in germination stage just enough water.
I don't really sure but the last time I try it I plant it in compost and the germination rate up to 70% , and its makes me really satisfied.
Thanks to all of you, I can harvest my tomato now.

start the seeds in doors make sure its not to cold or hot you want it around 70 to 80 degrees dont over or underwater and dont plant to deep its pretty simple if you follow the directions i just listed and if you still have trouble try peat pots or a germinating soulution.you can also put seeds in between wet paper towels until they germinate and if your still having problems make sure they arent to old if you collected the seeds yourself make sure their fully dry. good luck my tomato plant sprouted like a week and a half ago and its allready a foot tall ^_^

Great tips I try that paper towel, the seed do germinate there so I think the problem is the germination process to wet because I adding to much water.
Every thing work out great now, because all of you I can harvest my tomato now. I am really glad. Thanks you all make a little bit more expert in planting tomato.

Several factors will prevent tomato seeds from germinating
Did you use plastic pots or peat pots? Peat pots are best as they allow excess water to drain.
Regular pottoing soil or starter soil? Starter soil is a must for seedings as it is much more loose and will not compact around the roots or shoot.
Inside or outside? Temperature must be just right for tomatoes to germinate. Too cold and they will not sprout. Also if they are too wet.
How much light per day? Should be at least 8 hours of bright light and then some filtered light for best results.
How old were the seeds? The older the seeds the less likely they are to germinate.
