Okay, so we don't have cable, but there were several shows we started to watch before we moved. Now, I own some of them on DVD and enjoy watching them once in a while.
For a long time my favorite show to watch was Charmed, but after the way the final season ended, I got a little turned off, oh sure I might watch an episode here or there, but I really feel that they rushed the final season. It could have easily been 10 seasons with everything they tried to cram into the 8th season.
Lately, I have turned to the CSI shows and House, although each seems to be about basically the same thing. I like to watch the cases being solved. It is interesting to see how they come to a resolution.
What shows do you enjoy watching? Do you own any of them on DVD?

Little ones have a way of changing our lives. I know the feeling quite well, our kids kept me quite busy for some time, now that they are teenagers, I seem to have a little more time on my hands that I used to. So, alas, I am now getting back into watching different programs.
You know, it is amazing how one series will last a lot longer than another. Someone pointed out Dallas wow, I forgot that it did run for 10 years. Interesting... hmmm..

Hi Chulce,
I have a selected few favorite shows that I love to watch. American Idol, Vampire Diaries and those are my most favorite shows. American Idol is almost over now but I have a feeling that Vampire Diaries is going to be around for a bit.
I was watching House every Monday but I've noticed they are mixing repeats in with the new series so I gave up on that because I don't like repeats when it comes to television shows.. just movies.
I was buying Dallas (80s show) seasons and watching that religiously but I stopped and still have to finished watching season 10.
We are also Supernatural fans in this household.. hubby always buys those seasons on DVD.
Have a nice day

I enjoy a lot of series- I also like Csi- it's very interesting and I really like stories on investigating crimes- with mystery and action, those kinds of stuff. But I seldom have the series on dvd since I want them to finish the series first before I buy... Well, I buy some series if I really like them a lot.

I must agree, it is nice having a show that can hold your interest. I only wish the CSI shows were more reasonable in price. I can't believe how much they charge for them. I am sure they are quite popular, but, if they maintain a reasonable price, they would probably sell more copies of the show.

I love Criminal Minds. I'm not into the techie stuff that they offer in CSI, although I love House. I like Criminal Minds because it deals more with a person's' psychological behavior. It's so interesting to learn how a person could be caught for a crime just by studying his mental disorders, or his behavior which is affected by a psychological factors. It's cool how they base it on just the human behavior, apart from the evidence of course. It's very interesting the way the show is made.

I am not a fan of television series until I watched 24. Oh my, I really love Jack Bauer. He is truly amazing and an impossible man. Every time I start watching it, my eyes are glued on the television and I just can't get off and do anything. Actually, I started watching 24 from series 1 to 7. I don't have a copy of series 8 yet but I'll soon have it. I must say, I am addicted to 24. So exciting!

House is the bomb!!^^ Hugh delivered my favorite quote of all time "Everybody lies." And the new season opener where he was in the mental hospital was way funny especially in the scene where he just owned all the mental patients. Cant stop laughing at that one. Can't wait for the next episode.

It has been a while since I have seen current episodes of house. I own the first 2 seasons. I need to get caught up on the series once again. I miss watching it. Again another show that I didn't get to watch as much as I liked to because of things I was busy doing. Alas, time to rent. lol

We don't have a cable, too. So I usually watch local television series. We call these series in the Philippines as telenovelas. I enjoy watching them especially at night. But international shows like American Idol sometimes I also watch.

I am happy that you get a change to watch some international shows. With the local channels I receive, I am not so lucky. However, I have recently gotten into a show called Criminal Minds that we can watch on our local channels, it is another show that gets involved in a lot of murder mystery, it is actually on the level of the FBI and a special division that they have.

I like Burn Notice and Royal Pains. I use to watch all of the CSI shows that I could as well as The Law & Order series (all of them). I have lost interest in several of the L&W shows because of constant character changes. I especially hated to see that they are getting rid of Vincent D'Onofrio. I think his character just makes the show and I am not fond of Jeff Goldblum.

Wow, I must say I have been out of the loop when it comes to the Law & Order shows, I had no idea that Jeff Goldblum was going to be in it now. Interesting.
I have to admit, I got a little tired of some of the character changes as well, it gets old after a while. Especially, when you can't keep up with the characters then all of the sudden they change them again.

I don't own any of my favorite shows on DVD. My favorite shows at this time are Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Flash Forward, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, Who do you think you are, and my all time favorite is Brothers and Sisters. I love that show the most. The writing is impeccable.

There are actually quite a few that you have listed that you can find for purchase now, Grey's Anatomy is one for sure, I have seen that quite frequently. Desparate housewives is another one that I have seen a lot of as well.
I never really got into Dancing with the Stars or American Idol. Not sure why, but I guess it is just one of those things. I think it may be because I got burned out on all the reality shows that came out around the same time. After a while, you can't tell which is actually reality anymore when truly none of them are. There is still a director some where telling the actors what they want them to do.

I like to watch the action shows. I especially like to watch 24 and the CSI shows. The CSI shows are great because they have a murder mystery and you get to see what a CSI lab looks like and get to see how they solve the mystery and find the guilty person. 24 is great because of the action and suspense. I am sure sad that this season is the last one. I don't own any dvd of the favorite shows I like.

I have heard that 24 is a pretty good series, again a show that I never really got a chance to watch, either I was off with the kids at a sporting event, or by the time it did come on, I was to tired to watch it. However, I am still into the CSI shows although they are expensive to buy, I might just have to rent the other seasons for now so I can catch up. I know that Grissom has left the show and someone else sort of took his place. Wow, hate being out of the loop like that I need to catch up. lol

Yes House is a good one to watch. That last show Lie to Me, I think it may be to new to be out on DVD at this time. If I remember correctly from my readings it has only been on for about a year now. I bet you will be able to find it next year on dvd, the first season that is. It seems that they production companies are releasing things a lot sooner to dvd.
