going to start being phased out and people just buying a dvr TYPE hard drive to hook up to their tv where they can store all the movies or shows they would BUY but just no cases etc? some one had mentioned this to me one day and it really got me thinking its not that much of a stretch.. i hate storing movies and i already own a dvr for tv shows i dont want to miss so just thinking of a souped up version that holds all of your collection of movies in a small box sounds great but scary too!
what if it got messed up? then you might lose the movies you bought. sharing a dvd with friends wouldnt be easy unless you could like send it some how via internet or something..
would you rather have your collection of lets say 1,000 dvds all stored in 1 box instead of all those cases and disks? or do you think its an awful idea?

I really hope that DVDs last a long time. I have a huge collection and I like having them all out on the shelf in their cases where I cansee them. I havent gotten into the bluray thing yet and dont plan too. DVDs are the best in my mind. I dont wathc movies online except for youtube once in a while if I dont own the movie or something and I dont ever rent them. Like I said I liek ahving the big collection.

I think a time will come when all movies will be on 3d in a hologram style. You can watch it at the back or in front. It doesn't matter cuz where ever angle you see it, it's still the same.
