Are you having problems with Firefox?

Are you experiencing unexpected crashes from firefox? I've been dealing with this problem for months now. I searched the internet on what is happening here, and nothing. Some are having the same problems. I've been a loyal user of firefox and this is really bugging me. I downloaded Google Chrome just so I can continue what I was viewing that I cannot view on firefox. Some of my search results said that it may be because firefox can't handle the page or the site you're opening and suggests to clear your cache and temporary internet files from time to time. But I'm still having problems. It's really annoying me. Does anybody know how to fix this? It's like, it closes on some sites but if you used it again in that particular site let's say like the next day, it's ok. So what's the problem here? How can I fix this?

It's really annoying right? I visited their support and all I see are users having the same problem. There are steps that they suggest we follow but it's not helping at all. I don't think they're doing anything to fix it.

Yeah, most users that are having the same problems claim that it started when they updated their firefox. I did reinstalled firefox, but it's still the same. I can't remember what the error message is, because even though it's very annoying, I got used to it that when it happens, I just restart the browser again.

The Problem occurs on Linux too. I think that flash sites cause most of the problems, I'm only guessing but flash causes Firefox to run out of memory. Also those fake adverts on Gagabux, the ones that are entirely made of images, also fill the memory and hang Firefox. It happens with all 3.5 and later versions.

I do believe that Flash can be responsible for some of these problems. I play games on Facebook and they need Flash to work. I have had problems with both Firefox and Chrome relating to Flash.

I am using Firefox 2.0 and since i am still using user friendly windows 98 operating system, i cannot upgrade into Firefox 3.0 and so have little problems sometimes, but it is far better than Internet Explorer 6.0 which does give problems every now and then and i had to restart the system whenever the problem comes

Firefox is way way better than IE. IE is too slow. Windows 98 operating system is a very reliable OS since it's internet security is great, but haven't you considered on upgrading your OS?

Firefox used to be great for me until quite recently. And I don't know why. Since I have other browsers which are equally great I just leave it alone. Needless to say, if it's not going to help me in the long run it's not worth keeping either.

Sometimes I'm experiencing crashes and bugs! I'm using more Safari (Apple) cause it's safer and faster. The problem with other browsers is that they do NOT have add-ons greater or equal to Firefox :P! I wish you good luck with your browsers and I hope they can invent one even better to solve completely this question. Cheers

Thanks. Firefox is still the best among the wide varieties of browsers that's why it's very disappointing. I hope they can fix it as soon as possible.

I have not bee able to find a solution to these problem. I like Firefox, but it seem a bit unstable to me. I have switched to Chrome. It seem much faster than Firefox, but it's kind of plane with not many features. I like the "Add ons" for Firefox, but I think they are the cause of some of these problems. Anyway, I find that Chrome does not do every thing I want, so I keep Firefox around for those occasions.

There is no solution. I suspect Firefox can't handle the code. You need to update Firefox. That is the only solution but it probably won't work. Mine always freezes when I open up a pdf. My computer and browser just can't handle pdfs for some reason.

yeah, my browser always crash down even I upgrade it to the latest version. It even takes longer when i am playing those flash games in facebook. It really a waste of time when the computer frozen or hang and it takes more than 15 minutes for me. Even though I open the task manager and stop the program. It still took longer before i could stop it so most of the times i just shut down the computer then have to restart again. It also say that a recent open websites may cause the crashdown like opening my lot and playing facebook games like cafe world it often causes the screen to hang which is very annoying especially when you are in a hurry to surf. it really makes anyone to slow down.

Good for you. Unfortunately most users experience this problem after updating. I'm also using the 3.6.3 version.
