CCA is very importantn in my opinion. It helps to mold the student to a much more well rounded person. Not only that the student is required to be smart, he/she is also required to be active in sports which builds up confidence, be a better team player and be creative.
All of that is needed to achieve better and be a better person

I do believe that co-curricular activitis are important for students. The top reasons are so that students do not only think about studying academically and that they should go out and do something else while having fun; and to train their leadership skills. Other less important benefits (in my opinion) would be to exercise the body and make more (new) friends. But sometimes co-curricular activities can be not-so-good too. The spirit of competition can sometimes override the spirit of sportsmanship. I remember when in school I joined the uniform body St. John Ambulance. Everytime when there was a competition (marching or first aid), our "enemy" would be the Red Cross Society. When I say "enemy", I mean enemy. Somehow both of the uniform bodies detest each other, and everytime when there was a competition they will try to topple the other party, even if it means resorting to unethical means. I as a member of the St. John Ambulance just had to join in, even though I didn't want this enmity to happen. So, yeah, as you can see, there are pros and cons to it.

kawalsukhi Subjects of course are important but I imaging without
knowing just what you mean by co-curricular activites but I assume
things like taking dancing or sports, stuff like that, if so I
wou ld surely think that these would make a student more well rounded
and relax them more for the others subjects they may take.

I think these activities are also as important as our main studies.Because theses are also important for our mental and psychological development.Be a book worm is not good at all for students. So it is important for all schools to realize that and also must for parents to avoid those schools.

It should be included in the curriculum so that students has a way to develop his ability or talent. A school may offer a subject that focusing on that and student choose and develop. In that way student can rediscover his ability. Like in performing arts, music, arts, sports and entertainment curriculum students have a choice what field of their talent they want to develop aside from the taken course.
