Weekends...

Dear myLotters, today is Saturday... Today and tomorrow, most of us have weekly offs... A refreshing time!! What do you do to get refreshed on week ends, which makes you fresh again on Monday morning for the whole week's work... What is it that one should do? Partying? Meeting friends and relatives? Or what? Please share before the weekend is over... LOL... Have fun!

Today was Carlisle United's last home game of the season (our local soccer team) and we drew 1-1 with Walsall. It was a good day as many people asked how I was after my recent spell in hospital. I do slag off the Cumbrians at times but what I love about them is their generosity of spirit and genuine feelings for their friends. It's very nice to be wanted as I wasn't born in Carlisle, I am from Blackpool, which, incidentally, if they beat Bristol City tomorrow (and Swansea lose) will meet Nottingham Forest or Cardiff in the Championship Semi-Final...and if they get past those two games unscathed, then they could get into the Final and ultimately the PREMIER LEAGUE! Whoopee! I shall keep you posted on developments!

Hi Janey... I hope you're feeling much better by now... I do not know much about the local FCs of UK. I hope you'll forgive my ignorance upon that matter and also, my inability in commenting upon that... All I can feel is that your week end has really been good and you enjoyed a lot.. That is great, because 'enjoying things' improves one's health.... I'll pray for your team.. May it win the League... Yes, please let us know if it wins... Have a great time!!!

Okay.. I know what you mean, now... LOL... It'll finish 14th, eh... Bad news!!! How many teams are there? I guess, there are more than 30 teams right? Then, 14th isn't a bad position...

Well, our team is only one game away from the end of the season my friend and will finish roundabout 14th in League One. If the Board spends money on players during the summer we may indeed end up top of League One NEXT season lol.

actually, most weekends I just hang around the house with my family. I refrain from going out during weekends because I'm not very fond of crowded places. I prefer going to the mall during weekdays because it is less crowded. More often than not, if I am out on a weekend it means I'm off to a family gathering of some sort.. :)

Hmmm... There are some things which are common between us... I also hate crowded places... I feel suffocated LOL... Not suffocated, exactly.. I can't describe, how I feel about crowded places... I simply hate them. I like peace, even at malls and theaters... I like the crowd only at one place- at a party!!! It is fun to be with party animals... booze, music and dance!! And fun in the end... Well, the week end is almost over now... It is Sunday afternoon... I am preparing for tomorrow morning... The Office!!! Thanks for sharing... Have a great time!!

I clean my room and sort my files. I want to get rid of all the clutters as much as I could. Haha! I also spend some time with my friends having lunch with them. On a Saturday, I meet my boyfriend since it's only during the weekend we get to spend time together. It's either I go to their place or he goes to ours. I also watch some Korean movies online, learn a new recipe, read some books and get a real, long goodnight sleep. :)

Hi Honey... Thanks for sharing.. Your routine on week-ends seems pretty well. I am sure your time is spent happily on weekends... You get to meet your guy... Well, I am away from my girl for many months. She is in US and I am in India.. Wish I could meet her too... Have fun!

I don't think anything gets me ready for Monday, lol. That being said on saturdays I clean house, do laundry and what ever else needs to be done. Sunday is what I call my lazy day. I may just go shopping or sometimes just stay at home and veg out in front of the tv. Tomorrow we're going to the movies. been waiting for the new nightmare on elm street to come out. I am lucky in the fact that I have a break in between the weekday work. I'm a manager and work 4 10's. Perfect schedule. I work Monday and Tuesday, off wednesday. Then work Thursday and friday and off Sat. and Sunday. I need it though, it gets pretty stressful sometimes at work and without the break in the middle I'd be pulling my hair out, lol.

Wow... you have the most perfect job, I would say.. I mean, you have so many offs... LOL... And yes, seriously you need these many holidays, because managers do have a lot of stress and work to do... The important decisions, meetings, conferences etc are tiring.. A friend of mine is in management, but he isn't as lucky as you're... He has to work for 5 days a week. Also, he might get calls on Week Offs too, if there is some emergency... You are truly very lucky... I am sure nothing gets us ready for 'work' on Monday LOL... My schedule on week offs is quite similar too.. I do all the necessary laundry, ironing etc on Saturday. Also, I party on Saturday nights.. On Sunday, I rest at home and read.. And get refreshed for the Monday... Thanks for Sharing my friend... Have a great weekend!!!

Hi Ifa... I used to be like that before a few years... On week offs I would simply lie down on bed for the whole day and would watch TV... In the evening, I would get up and go out with my friends though... You should try that.. Sat and Sun evenings are always enjoyable and different... Have fun!! Thanks for sharing...
