I was so shocked when I read about this in one of my FB friend's links!! I don't know if it's true but it was said that Phil, as what's said to be the grandson's name, was told by her mother when he was 18 that she was adopted. His mother died eventually and then Phil tracked down his grandmother, Pearl. And that when they saw each other they fell in love. And that they've spent $54,000 for a surrogate mother to carry their child!! OMG! I really don't know how to react to this, I mean, I shouldn't be the one to judge them, but, isn't this totally sick? And to add a child into the equation?? Poor kid! This kid will surely be mutilated since both its parents' genes are connected! How could such thing happen??

I really think that there are people that are confused on what kind of love they are feeling. It is really sad because alot of times it ends up being a nasty situation. The dynamics of this family are alittle strange so I guess hopefully things will work out gene wise. I would try to keep such things under wraps but that's just me.

Well, first of all, the woman is WAY past the age of reproduction, and I doubt they cut her open just to get an egg. It's probably a donated one, or the surrogates egg. It's their life, however, so...good luck to 'em, I guess. Tell you what, though, it brings a whole new spin the the concept of a gmilf.

I've never heard of this one but I was watching a clip of The Jerry Springer Show on youtube last night and it was about a woman and her grandson being in love. So, I was a bit shocked to see this discussion. But I honestly don't know what to say. Even though the mother was adopted it still feels wrong because he's still legally her grandson. I agree. That poor kid is going to have a hard time growing up. It's not just the mutilated genes or whatever. I can that kid being picked on in school because of his/her unique family situation. You know how cruel other kids can be if you're different.

I head about this, too. I've heard of twins separated at birth meeting and falling for each other... It's called genetic attraction or something like that. But to go this far and know that they're related, that's just weird. I try to have an open mind, really, I do... but this is just a little too weird for me.

Yeah, really weird. But I guess because they didn't know they were related before made it not weird for them. But still, since they now know they should be responsible enough not to do what they're doing. Just because they "fell in love" doesn't mean that what they're doing is right. They should both be mature enough to know that.

If this is true, I cannot believe that this has happened. How can this be possible. The boy and Grandmaa, such an irresponsible act. This is where I can say that love is blind, should not be that much blind where grandmother is involved. Its like animal, who cannot make difference in mother when it comes to doing such things. This is just not accepted.
These are my personal feelings, dont mean to hurt anyone.

Saw the clip too. I don't know if i'm disgusted or whatever. They must be really in love with each other...OMG! But my concern is for the child, i understand children from parents that are related can have birth defects or even results in retardation. But this is not a lone fact, this is really happening.

lol crazy people. But think now. I will give you something to think about that I'm sure is going to piss everyone off. If two people are in love with each other does it really matter? Who are we to say they can't love one another? If we say its wrong for a Grandmother and grandson to be together, are we not hypocrites for saying its ok for a guy to be with a guy or girl with a girl? Who decides who can be with who?

I don't think so, but as far as I know love has different factors not just on different sexes but it can just a love within a relationship with our family...and not this mutual understanding because maybe they have related to each other, they know each other and became close as day passes by, until they came up on this., maybe it is possible but not really sure of it...Because I also heard about cousins are being in love to each other, but apparently their parents is against of it.

really weird!!! and a lot of mentally /immature imbalanced/irresponsible ( what we may also call sick in such a situation) to do not realise the long term effects on the child and the future effects; i think govt. or some other controlling authorities should ban such things happening; at least people /friends/relatives in the know of such things should prevent such occurrences.

That's really weird- the age difference is really great- isn't it. But we can't really judge them- if it's really love, then it is. But I think it won't last since many people might oppose to such union. But if their feelings arer really true- I hope they'll get by..

These kind of relations will confuse the people around. This is really an unhealthy, ugly and irritable relationship. Really poor kid if he become big what kind of problems he may face or what kind of questions he has to answer! Ho god why such situation arises.
