Who's property is it?

I was thinking the day about why people fight, and why we make war. Very often it is over some resource or property. So I began to think, who's property is it any way? I can only have one conclusion. It is all the property God. It is not mine or yours, everything existed before we ever were, and will exist after we are all gone. It is fallacy to believe you own anything, did you produce it? Did you make it appear with your will? Or can I say it this way, If your father gives you something and says to you, here I give this to you, protect and treat it well, is it yours? Or is it the property of your father?

The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein

Thank you Evan, can we then also say that we are the Lord's property and our children are His inheritance?

Exactly, a Buddhist would say it like all we are or have will pass away all our motivations and wants is what holds us here, or suffering is caused from want, we must realize nothing is ours not even ourselves.

Yes man not only causes his own suffering by want, but also inflects suffering on the rest of humanity because of his want.

Nothing is truly ours. It is all borrowed so to speak. All those physical things don't seem so quite important. If you touch someone spiritually, they can touch others.Sometimes, it will span the ages. Be careful to always spread goodness. Hate and evil can also be spread for generations.Choose and teach Unconditional Love and Kindness!!

We seem to forget who or what we are. For me, at one time I believe I was trapped inside this live body, and that all I was was a physical being. Then I began to awake. I began to perceive that I was something more, That all I was was not physical, but something more. Some one more than the flesh and bones that everyone else sees. I am spirit, and the spirit drives the body and mind, once I gave up on all I believed, then I could see differently. Thanks for your response.
