How do you say to a friend that he really smell bad?

My friend had a bad odor sometimes and what I did is to tell him in a very nice and very private conversation... I think I whispered it to him that time. I just said, "Dude, you smell" (translated in English). Then I asked him if its about the deodorant he's using then I advised him to discontinue the usage and try other. Maybe the bad smell is caused by oil grease from what he ate. Because if you eat a greasy food after few days it will come out on your skin with sweat.

you could suggest a new body wash to him. just say something along the lines of have you tried the new body wash called ____ i wanted to get it for my friend but wanted and opinion first. hope that helps

Well dear it is really hard to tell for you might just offend him. I myself have no courage to tell the concerned person. If you are really concern about this person then be a good friend and tell him or her about it. You must do it by first explaining that you value the friendship and does not want to hear any hurtful words from others pertaining to your friend. Then explain the situation in the nicest possible way and assist in giving options on how to resolve this. I assure you that your actions will be appreciated when done appropriately.

Hello charmed welcome to mylot Friend each person has the characteristic body odor, but the bad smells are due to the bacteria that grow on armpit or private parts, or due to sweat if people don't bathe for days.. I won't say anything, i would just buy gift something likes perfume or any good smell goodies. I bet, He would be happy for accepting gift and use it. in other way, your friend will also be happy to sit beside him and smells something nice. it likes win win solution, i guess.

I think as a friend who has good relation or friend who like your sister/brother, it's ok to tell her adn important that she/he knows that you are really care about her/him. But maybe the first way before you tell her/him, just give him/her a present like deodorant/parfume. If it is not work, just tell her/him and looking for the way together.

i will tell her first not to feel bad to what I say that she really has this body odor and I will recommend or give her some product that can be of help to her problem.

if she's my friend I'll tell her directly. It will be more embarrassing if other people tell her.

for me,,,,i will say it to him that he really smells bad,,it is for his own good so that he won't get embarrass to other people

i would probably just tell them and bring them aside. but my question is how do you known if you smell yourself. i am pretty sure i dont but sometimes like after i go play sports in between classes i become self-conscious of my smell and i dont focus on anything other than it lol. any ideas of how i can tell for sure if i smell bad?
