subliminal messages

this discussion came about because of a paper i just wrote for school. i know we all like watching movies and at one time or another they used subliminal messages. i myself dont think they worked. what are your thoughts on subliminal messages in the movies?

How would you ever know? Our rational minds seem to be able to explain the most unusual behavior we do. I think there may be much more of this going on then we realize and I know whenever I start to get uncomfortable about what I am hearing or seeing I turn it off or just walk away. Just remember there are basic things your mind is keyed of which you are unaware. Hungar and fear are two of those.

i agree with that. but you dont think that there is ever a time when people actually do catch the messages.
