I wanted to do something special for my mom. But because of time constraint, all I can think of is bringing her our for dinner or something. What was the sweetest thing you've done for your mom? Or do you have any plans for this coming mother's day? Can you also give me some suggestions? :)

For the past few years, I've had my Mothers' Day greeting for my mom published at the Manila Bulletin.
I am constantly giving her gifts anyway even if there's no occasion so I guess the Manila Bulletin thing is the sweetest, especially the first time that I did it. My mom even had it framed.. :)

Nope.. actually, the Manila Bulletin announces this a few weeks before Mothers' Day.. and what makes it even better is that it is for free..
I'm not sure if they are already accepting greetings since I didn't see last Sunday's paper.. You can send your messages for your mother to MB either through text, email, and snail mail.. :)

I gave her a card and while giving it to her I was singing a song about mothers.

Are you familiar with the cartoon Remy? Remi? The haha. Not really sure about the spelling. I sang it's ending song. It goes something like this,
"Aking Ina. Mahal kong Ina. Pagmamahal mo Aking Ina. Yakap mo sa akin. Hinahanap ko. Init ng Pag-ibig. Kumot ng iyong bunso. Sa Gitna ng pagkakahimbing, Yakap mo ang gigising"
Then tears fell from her eyes.

Last mother's day my sister treat my mother for a haircut and foot spa. As I don't have money for her i just washed the dishes that night. My savings was for my brother's tuition fee. I know my mother will be really happy if I will just funded his tuition than buying something for her. I observed we do not celebrated mother's day unlike the years before. We bought ice cream in the afternoon and eat it quickly because it is easy to melt because of the hot weather . I remember when I was young I used to make a poem and personal cards whenever there is a mother's day and father's day. I was very creative when I was young, now because of there are lots of priorities, I can't do that anymore.

Before I used to buy her flowers and cake because I have work and less time, but now that I have the time, well it is okey also to cook for her specially if you know her favorite food. But if not then ask yourself what did your mom like the most?
Is she fond of hair accessories, how about jewelry? novelty items or some knick knacks that she personally collects? or is she fashionable and loves dress and shoes or bag. It depends also if she likes to have new set of curtains, bed sheet or pillow cases or kitchen stuffs for mom.
On my own, I also am thinking of what to give her this coming Sunday. But most of all I pray for my mom that she would grace beautifully as she continues to serve God with gladness at heart...love you mom and Happy Mothers Day to all. Wish that I will be a mother soon

Thanks for the advice. She loves jewelry but since I'm not earning yet, I mean I don't have work yet, I can afford to give her quality ones. Of course I don't want to give her low quality jewelries.
How soon are you going to be a mother? Good luck with that :)

Our mom is the most unique mom in the whole wide world. As for me, being true to her and giving her a heart full Hug, makes her warmly happy.Sometimes we tend to spend a lot of money buying special things for her but what we are forgetting is a simple HUG..Giving her things made her happy though but one unforgettable thing that made her happy last years mothers day was my simple gift to her ,just a few pages of handwritten letter ( not the ready card or e card) expressing my feelings and how important she is.. made her eyes tearfully cried with so much joy and happiness

The sweetest thing i have done for my mother was that i wrote her lovely message in her card that almost made her cry.I vaguely remember trying to cook her breakfast when i was small.I recall standing on the counter tops trying to reach things.I don't remember if i managed really great for her though... It makes me feel need to do something nice for her.I wish she and i didn't live so far away now.

Thanks for reminding me about the coming mother's day. I do not have any plans yet. I want her to be surprised. I am hoping that I won't be busy on that day.

Mother's day..my wife is my daughters' mother... This mother's day, I would also like to do something special for my wife. I'd cook her favorite dishes or something. We'll just stay home and watch movies, because of extreme summer heat it's not very advisable to stay under the sun for a long time. We'll just watch some movies and enjoy each other's company.
