do you respond to all or getting choosy?

Honestly, I spend more time choosing to topics I would like to respond to. I first look up to my interests, then to those started by my friends, and then search for new ones. I have some posts that did not really get enough replys. And I do not get offended if I do not get any reply. Of course it is sad however, this is a place where everyone is free to exchange ideas. If I do not get any response, perhaps because my topic is not that interesting. I have several responses where mine were chosen as best responses. It made me feel great and inspires me to respond more to the topics. The bottomline is, whether or not I get a response, or be responded in any topics, it does not matter to me. I am here to share my thoughts and enjoy.

Some Members are that ignorant that they will not respond all they want is to make money here and yes it annoys me, I might take little while but I will respond back Do not let it discourage you as not all Members are like that Welcome to mylot

I try to respond to all response. Sometimes I don't add to a discussion if I see that the 'host/ess' has not responded to any. I am not offended but I just pass.

I will response only to discussion that I understand and capable to answer it. So you can say I am a bit choosy. I tend to answer a discussion made by my friend and it usually on my email inbox, so I can see discussion I like without browsing every discussion on mylot.

i liked to respond in any way i can when i start a discussion,that would be my motto! don't mind that person if he/she doesn't liked your respond,but always see to it that when you do respond too discussions do all your effort to earn for that certain discussion.that where we all are here for! there are a lot of users here to respond in everyway they can.if they don't then don't take it seriously,just go on to other discussions and let your voice be heard!waahhhh!

I Would Only Respond to a Topic I know. Or If i have Experience about it. I Don't go the Choosy Way. I Would Always Reply if i know Something About the Topic. And I haven't Experienced being ignored as i haven't yet made a topic.

It can sometimes be laborious for a member to comment on all the responses to a discussion, and many of the responses do not really require a comment. Many members tend to reply to a selection of the responses, usually the ones to which they have something to add. I have no problem with someone failing to comment on my response as long as they do reply to some of the posters. It is when a member opens a discussion and does not reply to any of the responses that I feel that they are not really interested in the post but simply in gaining credit for the activity that it has generated.

When I post a comment there are times I direct, frank, bold or just straight to the point. If your response is helpful, encouraging, detailed and such then most likely you'll get best responses time to time. It's fun at times to be unique, daring or challenging depending on the topic. I am a bit choosy to which I do comment to those who reply back to my discussion. Think of it as people who buy magazine articles at a news stand or any store. People read based on their interest, entertainment or something that catches their eyes. Think of a metaphor when you do write a response back is your comment like a fruit full of juice, ripe and those that want to eat it? Or is it like a dried up fruit that tastes bitter and people tend to throw it away? Be creative and test it out. Hope this info helps you...

I understand what you are saying. But don't fret for one this is the net, people choose not to respond and that's ok. Better than a not so nice response potentially KWIM? Now in a way on the ignored thing... the only time it bugs me is when I get not a single comment on my topic, not a single one... that's when I start wondering is it too contraversial? dumb topic? did I write it oddly so they cannot understand the point I'm trying to make? And as a response to your inital question... I respond based on 1. Do I have the time to respond to everyone 2. I can't think of a reply 3. the old addage "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all"

Don't let it affect you. Chances are you already said everything in your post that the starter no longer has words left for her comments . Don't let your happiness depend on a single post because there are a lot more interesting discussions here. so far i have learned that there are members here who don't respond to others comments and i feel offended by it but that was before. in due time i realized that she really don't respond to all the responses the receives so i learned not to expect a response whenever i post in her discussions.

it's definately nice to get responses but people seem to come and go a little bit. Sometimes we post comments and can't follow up for some time. I think you can develop close friendships on mylot but you can never quite tell what is going on in someones life and why they might not have the chance to respond. I wouldn't get too offended but it is a shame if you put they effort in and got no reply!

Nope. I don't respond to all. Sometimes some responses are similar to the response made ahead of it. So it will only be receiving the same response from me. Don't get offended if this happens to you. There are just way too many topics here that sometimes a person who posted the discussion forgets the one before it right away.

Hi there. For me, I don't really get insulted for being ignored. Most of the time, I don't notice if I was responded or not, I often forget what topics I responded to because I often respond to so many discussions. Don't feel so sad about it kisses1981, the people who posted the discussions might be so busy reading the responses that sometimes they don't notice other responses.

Sometimes it bothers me. But at least I know that I gave my best response. Sometimes I spend a lot of time trying to give a helpful response and it goes unnoticed. Yes it annoys me if no one seems to appreciate it. But hey I tried my best and that's all I can do.

I will eventually reach out to all my responses. But when I get few pages of responses, I will stop after maybe 20 responses and will continue the rest after a few days. Commenting can become repetitive when I have many responses but fear not for every responses is taken care of.

I don't post many discussions, but when I do I make a comment back to everyone who comments. I think it is a curtesy, but I don't worry or really care if I don't get something back. It is nice to know that my comment was read, but if I don't get something back, I don't think about it.

I usually respond to topics that I have something to say about.I can't respond to a discussion that I have no thoughts of.

Hi, good day to you Kisses1981, With respect to your query, dont feel bad if you feel that you are ignored. Maybe, its not the right term, maybe, it does not meant to ignore your response. Only, there are some good response meant only to be read. Please dont feel bad if you dont receive a reciprocal reaction to the query that you have responded. Perhaps, the person who received it feels overwhelmed and cannot find a right word to thank you for the responses that you did.

Hi I did not respond to all discussion; I tried to but my time would not permit me. My daughter own this computer so when she arrives from work, I'm not free to use the computer. Sometimes I'm choosy with the discussions that I respond. I go for relevant topics, topics that I can relate like your topic. Well maybe you have to spend a lot of your time in this site to open up more discussions and get more responses. Good Luck!
