Isn't the feeling of being able to afford what you want exhilarating? I was paid earlier in the week, and to my pleasant surprise, I still had around 60 persent of my paycheck left! I went to an shopping outlet in upstate new york and had the greatest time...i went crazy in saks fifth and guess and old navy, who for once finally had some upscale items....then i went to my dearest heart converse and had my way in there too....have you ever had an experience like this? and fyi, i am by no means wealthy, which i why i went to the outlet! i just went and had a very lucky day, finding the quality i like for the price i need...so i ask again, have you ever had an experience like this?

I am like you i like getting a deal on the things that i like as that way you can get alot more for your money aswell as you have money left over for another day out shopping if you decide there is something else that you want to get. What i try to do is get ahead with a few bills and then think of the things i want and then i know that i can get them without thinking too much about how much i have spent.

My sentiments exactly! I love saving money, but I don't like denying myself. Paying full price for something when I can stretch each dollar is nonsensical to me. Being able to afford what I want, and staying on top of my financial affairs at the same time is one of the most important things that I think about from day to day...

It sounds like you've had a fabulous day! So tell me what did you buy? I am blessed as I can afford most things, but what I find exhilarating is that I don't need the things to feel great. It is nice not having to think about whether I can get something- the sense of freedom is wonderful. I look forward to when there are nicer things in the shops as there isn't much around at the moment that I like!

that's true for me also...i love the simple things in life, just being able to relax, and knowing that for now i have every controllable area of my life under control....but shopping is like a game and a necessity all rolled into one...seeing how high i can reach in terms of quality, and at the same time finding amzing bargains is just another affirmation of my skills, to me...do you get that feeling?

i feel like that when i score a good bargain! often times i hit the thrift store or a garage sale and get brand name stuff (old navy, etc). this past weekend, i got a pair of capris, a french terry hoody and a cow pin for my daughter (she loves cows for some reason!) for $3.00!

hi alexzilzi123 yes itis really great when you can afford what you
want and I do nothink I will be able to do that for awhile, but can
hope for more income soon. but I have already had days when I shopped and could really afford something that I really wanted to buy. that is a really special feeling too.

Sounds like you had a great day!! I really don't shop much these days but I have everything, so mostly if I do, it's just replacing something that's worn out, like my running shoes, a jacket, stuff like that. I love the outlets and I love to find deals. I actually bought a pair of jeans marked down from like $60 to $7 - because they were $7 and they fit. Nothing like getting an upscale pair that actually fits that you don't have to make any alterations to and spend less than ten bucks lol. My absolute favorite pair are some black cords that I bought secondhand for like two bucks, and some cute capris also for two bucks - but I saw them new at Target and they were about $20 there lol.
If I intend to go on a shopping spree, I will set aside money to do it with over time, so it doesn't hurt as much if it totals a lot.
