Thank you for sharing how to say I love you into two other languages. That is realy cool. I always wished my parents had had the abilit to teach my other languages as a kid. I have tried a few times as adult, but I get lost and so confused! Is Mandarin or Cantonese either of your native languages?

Mandarin Chinese is the official language of Mainland China, Taiwan. Cantonese Chinese is the official language of HongKong and Macau. Most early age Chinese emigrants to North America and Australia,New Zealand, South Asia speak Cantonese Chinese. In Guongdaong/Canton Province of South China, most people can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese. I can speak both. I also like to speak English. I feel especially british English souds classy. Haha. I feel language is very interesting. I enjoy to communicate with ppl all around the world. Thanks for your response.

I say "mahal kita" in Filipino, "gihigugma ko ikaw" in Visaya, and "I love you" in English. But I am used to saying those words in English because I got used to that language rather than expressing it using my native tongue.

Hi sweetie. I am really horribly bad with the afrikans language. I hope this gets out right. They say,''ek,s lief vir jou'' in that language. I am english, so ''i love you'', will have to do. TATA.

I am filipino too, like some of those who commented, so I say it the way they do. but there is another more formal or deeper way of saying it. that is "Iniibig kita". It's really romantic for me. there are a lot of websites that list down translations of I love you. some even have pronunciation guides. try: http://www.travlang.com/languages/iloveyou.html have fun!

In Indonesia: Aku Cinta Kamu If it's said to the person you like, it means you want to make a relation with him/her. If it's said to your partner, it's like a phrase to refresh the relationship. Much like English I love you:)

In Bahasa Indonesia: Aku cinta kamu. Same like in english, if someone says this to you, the person wants to make relation with you. Now, it's your turn to accept it or deny it without hurting that person's feeling.

I have always thought that saying, 'I Love you' is best when expressed through respect, caring, honoring the people you love. So often, I hear, 'I Love You,' but do not see it! That aggravates more than anything! It's so important to prove your love via actions, don't ya think?!
