hi. i find geeks are cool because geeks earn more than the norm. being a geek doesn't mean you are detached from the world. being a geek means being passionate about something that you can talk about that for hours and hours. geeks don't have to look like geeks, im one but i love fashion and dressing up. today geeks dont look like geeks, it just when they open their mouths that you'll know one... LOL happy mylotting.

i think geeks are cool. i like geeks but i appreciate them more if they won't talk a lot. hahahah... because when they start talking they'll make you feel really stupid even though you're an average.^_^ as for me, hmmm... i don't like studying. i don't like reading textbooks. and neither do i like socializing. hahahah... i'm okay with a passing grade (or maybe depends on the level of the people in my class). when i was in the premiere state university in our country, i don't waste time studying because whatever i do the others will always be better. man, they're grade conscious and mostly geeks. so i'm fine with just not failing the subjects. but now, while i'm taking my second course, although i still have the same studying habits, during exams i make sure i'm one of the top scorers at least on the minor subjects because my classmates are hmmm... unlike my classmates before. i guess it's pride that's making me think it would hurt if i would get just a passing score when the competition isn't really tough. while in my previous school people around me thought i'm normal, in my new school i can tell they're looking at me like i'm some geek even though i only go to school twice or thrice a week (i have attendance issues). in my previous school too, i hang out with few people; in my new school, i don't hang out a lot. hahahah... i guess i'm neither cool nor geek.^_^

yeah. lately i've been hanging around here. i took a break for almost a year but now i'm back.^_^ however, i didn't really made a lot of friends here (and not making any). i only post comments on discussions i'm interested. i've started only a discussion that was 2 years ago. i don't plan to start any new ones now. i don't do tasks, no blogs, no fun stuffs, no referrals. oh yeah, although the first time i came here i thought about earning but later on i figured i'm no good in making money online.^_~

but you do hang out alot in mylot right.hehehe..i kinda like you because u being who you are.since i'm in primary school,my mum pushed me to get a better grade and all i could ever think of is getting A in any subjects and when i even get b,i will be sad as if i fail.but when i entered boarding school,man...the pressure is more and everyone was like hook up to their book!!i also study but i also want to have fun..i don't want to have a memory of my childhood and my school years dull and only about studying the whole time.i guess your personality is okay because you hang out with others in different way..hehe..thanks

And as you grow older, you learn that that wasnt important, now it is keeping up with the Joneses..... nice v=cars, big house, etc. I didnt care about that stuff in school, and I dont care now. I was very active in our Chamber of Commerce. It drove them nuts that I wasnt into their "cliques" I find them a waste of time and you could be sacrificing great relationships based on a label. Be multifaceted like you are, it will serve you better.

Thats a shame about some of your friends. Trust me when I tell you that an open mind will be much more useful for you. Just think of the things/people your friends are missing

I don't consider myself a geek but a lot of people would probably think that since I spend so much time in the library. I like to get good grades so I spend a lot of spend studying but that doesn't mean I don't like having fun too. I actually find it easier to enjoy myself when I'm well prepared for test because I'll be less stressed. I don't mind being a geek too much

I've been called 'Geek' in school and I'am still a 'Geek' as I'am still in school. I'am good at studies so always been called and teased by terms like "Scientist", "Newton" although rather than getting teased by all this I admire that I'am one of these famous and great people. Now for the future god knows whether i would still remain a 'Geek' or would become 'Cool'!

ya..you know what,i knew someone of is really genius when it comes to chemistry and stuff like that, even he can just solve a difficult algebra using his head but when it comes to socializing,he failed to do so.i mean i don't blame him to be alitlle bit shy and not outspoken because all day long,he will linger in his lab and taugh the students.his students really like him because sometimes he is funny but when he with society.he is different.it is sad though because they can't see him like the way his student sees him.

I think I'm a little of both. I have no problem socializing. I'm no smarty pants but I do read a lot and I recite a lot. I'm also good with words. That is probably why they think I'm kinda smart?. haha

i agree that to some extent the social skills are more imporatnt than the acdamic, in this competitive society, you must have a relative network support you to stand in this world, we sometimes need to try our best making more friends, to become what we usually don't understand, but don't forget yourself, become both geek and cool, you will win the life

it's ok to be called geek as long as you acknowledge it. Be yourself, never mind what they said. You are free to do whatever you want to do... But just don't forget to be considerate to other people... Don't be so selfish... listen to them and learn from them also.

It is cool to be a geek! As for me i don't mind being called a geek. But sometimes people just have this stereotype in their thinking that when you excel of are wearing glasses you are already a geek. Well, that perception is not true. A geek can be cool.

that true you have to be both but thats what people normally brand you with. you dont have to worry about being a cool kid or a nerd jus be yourself and do your own thing. but if you dont know who you are then something's seriously worng with you then being the nerd or the cool kid will bother you and you will become socially ackward.

yup..that's why i prefer to be myself despite of following what others think is right..i mean being myself is better than to pretend to be other person
