My name is Jorge (George) and it is of greek origin. It means something like "the one who works the land" or farmer. I also have a second name, Arturo (Arthur) wich is celtic, but could also be greek. It comes from the celtic word "Artos" that means bear, but I also have heard it comes from some greek word that means "The guardian of the northern bear".
I really like my name, and like the stories of both Saint George and King Arthur.

My name (Alexandra) is the feminine form of the given name Alexander which is a romanization of the Greek name ????a?d??? (Alexandros).Etymologically, the name is a compound of the Greek verb ????e?? (alexein) "to defend" and the noun ??d??? (andros),genitive of ???? (aner) "man".Thus it may be roughly translated as "protector of man".

My name means an innocent lamb. When I was born, my parents said that I look like so innocent with face so soft and dainty, so kind and sleeps all the time. That why they named me my name. But as I grew up, I turned to be so talkative and they said that my name does not fit me anymore! LOL

My name doesn`t really have a meaning or something like that, but my parents chose it because my grandfather and grandgrandfather had it. So thats another reason why parents chose one name over another.
