Getting a part time, after school and weekend job is how you can make some money for your 'extras' or luxuries. Just make sure it doesn't affect your school work and you are able to do all your homework first, then you will know how much spare time you have left for a job. If you are having trouble in school and don't have the spare time, then buckle up and wait until you do or you are done school. This is life, get used to it. Sacrifices must be made for 'extras', and if they are your extras, why should someone else pay for it?

Maybe it is time for you to think of budgeting your time for leisure and studying and making money. Everything is possible just have a positive attitude. I myself is a mom, a student, and I also do part time work. It's pretty tough but that's what my life is. Money is there, you just have to know how you'll get it. It feels a lot better if you spend your very own hard worked money :)

Maybe your dad is trying to teach you a lesson to budget your money. I think its not right to just ask money from our parents. If your dad wont give you more then maybe you already have enough so maybe its a good idea to live within your means. Earning extra cash is a good thing cause it will teach you the value of work.

I do not want to sound harsh when I say this, and I do not wish to be rude either, but I have to say something in response to this. When I was college, I worked full time, sometimes two full time jobs and school. This was before I got married and had children. I still had time with friends, and I had money for shopping. Granted, I was tired all the time, but it was worth it. Now I am the single mother of two children, going to school, working full time. It really feels good when you can say you really earned the money you are spending on yourself and when you can say it is worth it. Get a part time job. Go have fun. It will be worth it in the long run. I know if I can do it, anyone can.

"I am so upset that my father will never give me more money any more." Honestly, be lucky that you are getting anything from your parents at all. That is what manufactures snobs. It is best to make your own money, while in college. Either find a part-time job or day-trade in the stock market. That is what I did, when I was in college, and I made more money doing that than I would if I were working. Of course, this was back in 1999, when high-risk trades paid off really well.

i do understand your anguish. But, please... there is a lot more to live and enjoy than mere money-making. I can tell you from my personal examples, but it is not proper here to discuss such! all I would appeal to you is to stay focused on your studies. Be a professional first. Then, you can earn to your fill, and more too. Then all the dining out, fashions, etc will come walking to you , with ease. Don't just rush. and try to be a good KID first. Then when your time comes, you can be a good parent too. Goodluck.

as they say, money is not everything. the world does not stop if one does not have money. it will continue, and if you whine and complain, you will surely be left behind. just cope up with it, and move forward to building yourself like schooling. well, if you like writing, you can always build your online assets by creating a blog that will attract traffic. even if you're asleep, the other side of the world is scouring online and people will come a chance to your interesting blog if it is. make one and make it interesting. goodluck!
