hi workoutfreak just don't panic man its normal to have white hair. i also have white hairs at the age of 20. what i did so that it would not spread is i cut it using scissors instead of pulling the roots out so that it would not make it worst. if your white hair is many you may die it to black or what color do you want it to be.... ur asking why you have white hair? maybe you sleep when your hair is wet. that is what happened to be.. =( i did not listen to my mother..

Hi there,
I am sorry to learn that you are facing pre-mature graying of hair. In our country treatments are available for pre-mature grey. Many reputed ayurvedic companies are marketing oil for premature grey. Some are offering tablets too. I read that sesame seed is good for pre-mature graying of hair. Eat a handful of sesame seed (in raw form) every day for three months. It will be very effective and there are no side effects. Adding green leafy vegetables in your diet is also helpful. Indian gooseberries are famous for preventing pre-mature grey.
Don’t worry too much about your problem, if you worry it may worse your problem.
Best of luck.

No need of any embarrassment on your white hair, now people under the age of 20 is also have white hair and they are treating the same as a pride. (Here in our place there is a superstition if you got white hair in small age it will bring luck to you. So relax and expect the luck.)

Well, I do think it may be caused by the genetic or stress. Nowadays, it seems like many people are getting white hair at young age, perhaps stress is one of the major cause. I do have a few white hair when I was at 20, and I realized that whenever I was very stressed, I have more white hair. Till I was near 30, I started to have a whole bunch of white hair, though I didn't really feel stressful anymore. I am not sure why this is happening and how to avoid it, as I do not really mind having white hair.
Try to release your stress, it may help to reduce your white hair and also make you healthier. ^_^

HI,
I dont think so, I have gray hair since I was 16. sometimes you think too much and sometimes it is just one or two. you might work hard, study hard, and all the stress you have then it might happened. nothing wrong at all. now, I dont have gray hair but I do have stress most of the time.

Although it is most likely genetics as some have already said it could also be a health issue you cannot see. Hair color can change with hormonal changes which you can have a doctor check. Also if there is any diabetes in the family I would get checked out because hair going white is actually a little known side effect of the early stages of the disease. Then again you may just have too much stress in your life.

Don't stress about a few grey hairs workout. Its not worth creating more. LOL
But really, greying hair is usually either genetics or you have done something to damage the pigment in your hair. I have a grey strip in my hair and it is in the exact spot that I got a real bad sun burn and blister when I was a kid. Have had it since high school.

I found my first gray hair at 21. I'm now 30.. or I will be in a few days, and I have to color my hair every couple of weeks otherwise it looks more grey than brown. So sad!
Unfortunately for my hubby, his didn't turn white... he went bald! I met him when he was 25/26 and he had a terrible receeding hair line. Before he was 27 he ended up shaving his whole head bald. It's gotten worse too, you can tell when he goes a few days without shaving. He's only 35 but there is no hair at all on the top of his head!

You're eating way to much protein, in particular MEAT. You would benefit from going on a raw diet or at the very least greatly increasing the GREEN food in your diet. You need the chlorophyll the veggies, especially green leafy veggies will provide.
It is hard for most people to go green. I suggest you star with a green smoothie daily.

don't freak out about it. i have friends like you who are young but with white hair. maybe it runs in your family? check your family history and you'll know the cause. if you're really bothered by your white hair then have it dyed with your favorite colors lol! :D

Greying of hair may be caused by many factors. If a person is under pressure or stress then they are immediately seen with a white/grey hairs. The reason is that when stress level increased in our body almost all the parts of the body are affected and results in tremondous changes internally and externally. Also some diet may affect their hair. If they eat iron rich foods like Dates,Fig,Jaggery will surely help their hair from greying and preserve their black color. So eat a balanced diet which are rich in all vitamins and minerals to stay young always.

Graying hair at a young age, could be due to heredity. I have a friend, 14-year-old already has white hair (gray). So, I guess nothing to worry about gray hair because it could mean that because of heredity

I have had white hairs since I was about sixteen or so years of age. It is really nothing to panic about, I do not think. Some people get them for whatever reason. There is no reason why this happens a lot of the time. Then again there is several reasons. Stress of any sort could make their hair turn gray or even white. Then again, there are sometimes it just turns.
However, it is nothing to worry about. The fact that hair can turn white when you are at 40 or 50 or whatever, is a myth as far as I am concerned. I know for a fact that my hair has changed shades at least three times not counting the gray and white hairs that tend to pop up. It is unnoticeable unless I look for it however but I have found a couple here and again.

well, it is really bad that your
hair is growing white and if you are
really 23 years old and it happens to you
then there is only one explanation and
reason for that "grey-ing"- stress!!!
hope you have heard about this theory and
it is proved by many scientists that
when people get angry too often( maybe
every day or even every hour) then
their hair is growing grey very fast
no matter how old they are- 20, 30, 40
50...
But as i remember there is also another explanation of it
there is one disease, which name I don't
know, but it makes your hair grows grey
so that's why you should better go to
your doctor and ask him what to do!

I had read a book about white hair and I learned if you take vitamin B something, it slow down the white of your hair. I tried it because it is genetic to us to have a white. My father when he was still at his 20's got all white already. Fortunately, I don't have it... I'm late 30's already.
