What do you think for private universities?

What do you think of private universities? Are you for or against them? I am a bit confused to be honest, because I think that private universities have incentives to offer lower study quality that the public ones. On the other hand, not everyone can go to a public university... What is your opinion? Would you go to a private one?

Private universities are businesses, they are corporations. Here in the Philippines, private universities have their own will to hike tuition. The government has no total power on them. There are some of them that perform well, but some, sad to say, aren't. Meanwhile, it is also good to study in public universities, the state universities, they offer low tuition yet quality education.
