Should death penalty be legalized?

Death penalty is not allowed here in the Philippines. It was in practice few years ago but since we are a Catholic country, the government decided to abolish it. However, in the senatoriables' debate last night, this issue resurfaced. Death penalty is a harsh punishment but I believe that it will be effective especially now that crime rate is rising. It is in humane but there are some crimes that need to be addressed by this punishment. This is just my opinion. What do you think about it?

Definitely not, No human has the right to take another's life is also better to punish criminals by taking away the freedom and all the privileges that life offer us....
