On a recent interview by HBO veteran commentator Larry Merchant on Floyd Mayweather after the Shane Mosley fight, Mayweather insisted that if Pacquiao would accept the offer on random drug testing, the much awaited fight between him and Manny Pacquiao would happen much to the dismay of Merchant. Does this act of Mayweather a sign that he is afraid of Pacquiao?

Yes he want to upset boxing fans. And I guess he is not in the position to make that demand. He is just making alibis.

i would not go that far to claim that. i believe the fight must happen. the boxing world will not be forgiven if this fight won't happen. boxing is threatened by mixed martial arts as a spectator sports. popularity of boxing is declining except for some prized fighters like mayweather and pacquio. this fight will boost boxing and reclaim the interest of sports fans into contact and combat sports.

Knowing Pacquiao's present records as well as condition, Mayweather then should be very afraid of Pacquiao.. I think he badly needs more tune up fights before engaging with Pacquiao into the ring.. :)
