Have you ever drank your own pee before?

I have never drank my own pee actually I think it's discusting. I have seen it on television where some people drink there own pee for survial when they have no water to drink. I could never bring myself to do this no matter how thirsty I was. The thought of drinking my own waste make me hurl at just the thought of doing it. I can only imagine what it would taste like! I don't care how people say they could do it. I believe if came out of me as a toxin it should not go back in me as something helpful to drink. I mean there is a reason pee does not stay in your system. I heard astronots drink their own pee as well.these are my thoughts and I'm sticking too them!!

I wouldn't drink my own pee, I think it is disgusting, and as far as I know it is not a good solution to drink your pee in an emergency situation. You can do it a few times, but if you keep on doing it for a long period of time it could have some serious consequences. When you drink your pee the waste products that your kidney were trying to get rid of get back into your body, and if you keep on drinking your pee your pee becomes highly concentrated with dangerous waste products, and that can lead to serious kidney problems.

I have never done something like that. Hahaha. Although, there was once when my grandpa told me that they used to believe that drinking your first pee in the morning is health-beneficial. I really don't know until now if it is medically proven or just a mere myth. But I have never tried that since I think it is just a myth. However, if it is true that it can bring something beneficial to our health, I still won't do it unless it is a necessity to do it. Hehehe. :)

I've never drank my own pee before. The thought of drinking my own pee is really disgusting, but then again, I haven't experienced a situation where I have to choose between my own life and drinking my pee, so I don't know what I'll do if ever that situation would arise. I truly hope it doesn't.

So far no, but I used it on my pimples. If it comes to survival I never mind drinking my own urine. Also I never mind tasting few drops of female urine that physically associated with me. You know drinking ones own urine got lot of medicinal benefits, and even prime minister of a large democratic country used to drink his own urine to keep away the deceases.

When I was really young i did. I would never do it now though. Its full of toxins, and other waste products. Things that aren't meant for your body. That's why they are trying to exit your body.

well put it this way if you were going to die or if I was going to die and the only water I had was my own pee then I'd do anything to stay alive.
But yeah urine is a toxin if you drink your own it also contains minerals etc etc and waste solids in there.
But here's a strange fact its toxic to drink your own but you can safely drink someone else's lol, as what is mildly toxic to one person isn't to another.
Not that I would drink someone else's lol.

I haven't drank my own pee also. Imagining myself drinking pee is unacceptable lol! But in Singapore, the pee is filtered there so you can drink it safely. That's what the singaporean tourist guide told me. :) I guess I've drank a filtered pee in singapore and I'm still alive lol.

this is my first time knowing this heheh this is funny tukkersheri... i haven't drink yet my pea? is it dirty? and its yuck!! errrg hahahahah. your right no matter how helpful or delicious it is for some people i consider it to be my waste.. not something to drink.. i used to hear someone filtering his pee before but i don't know if he converted it back to normal water...

A few years ago before I moved out I'd known a friend who was suffering from a terrible cough. He didn't stop coughing throughout the three years I had known him. I thought that was TB but he said "No" and had not gone to the doctor either because of cost. Instead, he believed that he had been cursed and that by drinking his own pee at least twice a day would cure him. I thought that was silly of him because he didn't throughout those years. Sad though but I never got any news about him ever since. I'm not sure if astronauts do. And just like you I could never bring myself to do it either.
