Biggest example of WWE missing the boat on something.

Wrestling there are a lot of memorable things that happen that we remember as fans but much like any other business, WWE makes their share of mistakes. Mistakes which make you wonder what they were thinking. It could have lead to some compelling television and draw some money, which I am positive that is the goal of any business. Instead, there were situations where I felt like they should have shown Vince McMahon throwing money right in a flaming barrel at the top of the stage, while laughing like a crazed madman. For the sake not making this too easy, we'll throw out the Invasion, because that was perhaps the biggest misfire in the entire history of wrestling and would be the obvious choice. So I think I have two examples that come to mind. The first one would be Kane, post unmasking. He should have destroyed everyone on RAW(face, heel, or otherwise) to winning the title, destroying Triple H. Then they should have built up the other monster Goldberg as the top contender to Kane's title and then go from there. Instead, Kane was thrown in a feud with Shane McMahon. Your monster should not be backed off by the owner's non wrestling son. I don't care how many high places Shane's jumped off of, Kane should have crushed him like an insect. Then Goldberg...oh that sledgehammer. Then you bring in Eric Bischoff, the only man who ever challenged and beat Vince McMahon at his own game in wrestling. Logic dictates that there is something built up. I didn't want to see the two compete in the ring, but perhaps a team of wrestlers lead by McMahon against a team of wrestlers lead by Bischoff. Bring in War Games(yeah, I know, that's never going to happen with Vince alive, because forbid he acknowledges good ideas by anyone else but him). Instead, nothing, other than a throwaway match that was a backdrop for the Goldberg/Lesnar Match at Wrestlemania 20.

WWE and Vince McMahon have a ton more screw ups than many fans will admit to. I am not going to start listing them...that would take up too much space here on mylot and too much of my time.
