I know more men think of their dads rifle or gun being a special thing but I am a 40 yr woman...... My mom and dad are in need of money for the month and was going to pawn off my dads gun..... My dad got that gun when I was a year old to shoot rats at the dump which is illegal now but back then was obviously a pass time for some..... I told my mom to take it to the pawn shop and I would give her whatever they offered her.... They went today and the man said "Where did you get that gun" and offered them $75 when they said they had to talk to me first he said $100 .... That man knows what the gun is worth and I have a pretty good ideal and will look it up after I receive it..... but it is not about the money for me but just I know my dad has had it for a long time.... When I had problems with my ex that was the gun my dad had beside him as he slept in the chair in case my ex broke in...... it is more sentimental to me and I would not sell it at all......What are some of mylotters views on this or other sentimental family things?
