Balance Diet........ What contains in your diet?

Do you have your proper diet everyday?
A balanced diet is one that includes all the food groups of the food pyramid.We should then base our daily diet in moderate intake.Some maybe a meat lover,seafood and vegetable.
I cannot follow a proper myself I don't find myself fond of meat though I consider to have meat sometimes.I love seafood but seafood sometimes high in cholesterol if not not taken moderately it does harm health too.I'm a vegetable lover and I can almost eat all kinds of veges, and legumes.Meat should take in moderate as well.So in my everyday diet I always have vegetable and seafood.
How about you guys? What contains in your diet?

Seriously, I try to, but I'm not quite up to the recommended daily portions of fruit and veggies.
That picture was taken when I was 49, not bad, I guess. :-)

Not everyday, but we do make sure that we have it completed before the week ends. My wife and I are currently focused on a veggie diet. It's really hot. I don't think I can consume some more carb to heaten my day even more. My wife knows I'm not used to a very hot weather since I grew up in New Jersey where it is really freezing. Before the week ends, we make sure we eat some for protein and something that would help us make it thru for the coming week.

Oh that's sad to know well I guess better you go for soft diet then, actually myself too doesn't used to carb I prefer a sandwich than any other heavy foods like what usually have for meals. So you grew up from NJ that's really have to huge adjustment of food. Anyway enjoy the hot weather lol.

Yes it really is hot here in the Philippines right now. But what can I do? I fell in love. So I stay where the wife stays. Actually, my wife wants to go on diet. So we cut on the carb as well since its also very hot. What can I say, I guess I must be a pretty supportive hubby then.

I try to eat a healthy diet during the week and then I splurge on the week-ends. I have high cholesterol and am trying to do better but I do have an eating disorder so it is difficult. I like vegs in the summer and hope to get alot of good ones from the fruit stands we have in town.

Hello my friend for me, if i would follow the rightful diet that would suit for me everyday, it would be so expensive. I know what's really a good and balance diet for me. Frankly, as what I had said, I could not afford to follow those recommended diet for me. It doesn't mean I am abusing my self from any vices in fact I am health conscious individual and I am not of any kind of life's vices. I seldom eat meat, I am more on any kind of veges, not fond of any sodas, sweets, chain foods etc etc..My favorites are sea foods, salads and fruits. Whew!!!! You made my mouth watering...
How I wish we could eat together with our favorite healthy foods...

Wow,we have same taste we can dine in together with my iloemi.I really love seafoods and vegetable, I 'm not so choosy about food and I can eat what's would be the food in the dining table.So i think I can even dine with anybody maybe we can have chance to eat together friends just let me know..Good to know you are keen of what contains in your diet.

We have the same likes cloud, veges and seafood {fish mostly} which my family want to. I also trained my daughter to eat veges which mostly kid don't like. I'll prepare meat six dines a week, 2 dines each of pork, chicken and beef

Hello libramie,
So you are into seafoods too, that's good to know , maybe we can eat together,lol. I find that kids quiet choosy of foods especially veggies but when they grown up it will be fine maybe if you train them now and tell them exactly what vegetables can give.

hi cloud. we also cannot follow the right and balanced diet. aside from that the kids are very choosy with the food they eat, we don't have more budget for every food groups to always be present on the table. we also let the kids eat their favorite foods even if those do not contains lots of nutrients. they will eat a lot if we processed meats and other dairies. but we still maintain food supplements for them and also milk.

Hi neil,
Oh yes its normal for kids being choosy about foods.As long as you are giving them food supplements to for added nourishment for their body will be alright and just make sure they can have enough rest will be fine.No one can follow exactly the balanced diet we have in pyramid but at least we can try to be healthy by having enough food to eat and an enough rest and exercise.

Good morning Cloud, I would love top have seafood every day, one of my faves. I am dieting do my diet varies. Eating alot of salads, cottage cheese & fruit,etc. Mainly i have changed my way of cooking alot.

Good morning ms Lady, Wow so you are into seafoods too that's nice to know, salads,cottage cheese and fruits are really good for health, plus you can have your own way of cooking that's one thing can make us healthy once we cook our own less in cholesterol,preservative than foods from dining out.

Hi Cloud. Up until recently my diet was simply a mixture of Pizza, Cheese & Pickle sandwiches and Crunchy Nut Cornflakes...with the odd serving of crisps and other general rubbish. Now I am trying to lose some weight so my diet is a lot more balanced: I have salad for lunch and then pasta, tuna, peas and sweetcorn for tea. I know it sounds boring but I like my routines and that way I don't have to constantly check calorie and fat content of foods. This is enough for me at the moment as I am not currently working but once I return to work I will probably start eating much more while trying to keep things healthy and balanced x

Its good your getting a well balanced diet recently and Its also good for losing weight, its understood that when diet is concern it sure we feel bored about it lol.But of course sometimes we are losing our track.And that's alright!

Yes, we should have a balanced diet that includes all the food groups of the food pyramid with three meals a day. But unfortunately, I'm not this kind of person who follows this strict balanced diet everyday because I always skip meals especially during breakfast. Me, too, is not a meat lover person because everytime I ate meat, I always have an indigestion. I'm more on fish and vegetables especially fruits.

Well, mantaining a healthy diet is not easy. Actually, it is pretty hard for people who keep a busy schedule, and don't have the time to eat at home everyday. My diet contains as much fiber as I can get! That help ALOT in loosing weight. Another good thing is to always have iced fruit juice in the refrigerator... If you get crazy for sweets, just grab one of those. Believe me, it works miracles!

My diet was :
I eat fruits , i didn't eat after 7PM o'clock.
I run 5 kilometres a day every morning.
In the afternoon 40h Fitnes , and finally -20 kilogrammes :)

I eat a lot of fresh organic vegetables and a little meat, usualy chicken without too much fat. Then several times a week I will eat mackeral that is a very oily fish and good for heart and blood circulation. I haven't always eaten like this and I used to eat anything that tasted nice. I didn't think it would hurt me, but back in 2006 I had a heart attack and things just had to change. Now I feel a lot healthier and more optimistic about my health and I am about the right weight for my height and build.. _Derek

That's what I like in your diet an organic vegetables free from harmful pesticides, a meat with less fat, that's perfect, mackerel yeah that's good for heart a natural fish oil in most japanese diet they love mackerel, That's good to know you are aware of your daily intake of foods, to have a good health..Keep it up!

Though I follow the food listed in food pyramid but I don't eat all of them beacuse my diet is according to my blood type... Yes you read it right BLOOD TYPE DIET... There are foods that is toxic to our blood though it is nutritious. Our mood and personality is an affect of the food we eat. Since I am a blood type O person, I only eat what is recommended for me. It will recommend either for weight loss or weight gain. That's it. Try and you will discover, it is effective

Yes I agree with you about some food which are toxic into our body but I never had an idea about food which is preferable to our blood type.Well,for my weigh loss and gain weight program I can very easy to adopt myself doing so, but for the food I don't have an idea really..Anyway thank you for that additional info.

in my diet, i make sure i have some sugar & spice, and a bit of everything nice..
that's why i'm so sweet all the time :) hehehe..
i'm a meat lover. but i know that too much can be very bad. so other than try to make sure that there are at least some vegetables or salad when i have my meals, i make it a point to have an all-salad meal 2 or 3 times a week. keeps me perky, and makes my complexion smooth.. :)

Lol, that's good way to be sweet add more savour to sweetened like honey or something just guard the sugar intake.
Well, being meat lovers is just fine as long as you know how to take them in moderate servings,salad and vegetables are really nice and good for us.I love salad and especially green salad..lol

I am meat lover, almost every kind meat. There are enough proteins in meat, it is good for health. And i keep running, as that there are lots fats. Also i like seafood, oh my god, i am greedy.

Being meat lover is not bad just take it moderately,well I agree with you about good protein in meat and its essential to our body and we should not neglect meat in our diet.And daily exercise will also make our body healthy along with our balance diet.
