I am not like you then, because I am more comfortable with my Mac laptop (MacBook) than with any keyboards. The only keyboard that I am comfortable with is the Apple's own keyboards though...
The problem that I am facing right now is that I am always facing some minor problems when typing on a friend's, school's or just some "stranger's" laptop/keyboard. I think that Apple's laptop's and keyboards are just so good and comfortable to type on

I face the same problem too. I am used to typing with the full scale conventional keyboard. Therefore, the smaller keyboard of the notebook is just too small to me. I couldn't type as fast and as efficient because my finger can easily reach beyond the targeted keys. Besides, I am also get used to the num pads of conventional keyboards (I could type the numbers without looking at the number pad). It's also less convenient to use the number pad of the notebook, because they are sharing the same key as the alphabetical keys.

my typing speed on either stand alone keyboard, or laptop is about the same. to me, spelling mistakes are a way to learn. important thing is to be able to double check what you type before it's finalize. because just like a posting to a discussion, once it's out there, it's very hard to make corrections..
practice will always make perfect :)

well i think they are both the same. the speed of my typing in laptop is basically the same with my keyboards. its just that due to the noise of my keyboard i am already typing faster than expected, but it is just the feeling of typing faster associated with the noisy keyboard keys! =)

Well, it probably because you are more comfortable with the keyboard on your computer as compared to the notebook which is somewhat smaller. Well, if you continue using the notebook, then I am sure that you will improve. I am more comfortable using my laptop and obviously type faster with more accuracy using it as compared to the keyboard on the desktop. Simply because, I used my laptop more often than a desktop.

I love typing and I have a very good typing speed with very little errors when I use a desktop. But, I am not that comfortable with laptop keyboard. My husband has a laptop and I rarely use that. If I have an option to decide on desktop or laptop, I go or desktop because I am more comfortable with the keys of the desktop than laptop.

Yes typing speed is good on keyboard rather than on a notebook.. because notebooks keys are very very sensitive .. so speed is very slow on them.. but on keyboard keys are very very normal.. so their is no problem pressing on it..
