On reading the notifier for this discussion my first reaction was: that says it all surely?
I can only asume that there are not any men who are convinced that it is all that wonderful to be a man eh?

lol...no one read beyond the title, Bala...that's what happened.
I thought that would happen. I've seen quite a few cases where the responders do not read beyond the title....so they usually end up giving a comment that is not even relevant because most posters try to give a witty or catchy title for the discussion to catch one's attention.

What is there that is so wonderful about being a man Bala? Nothing special I am sure. It is better to be a woman any day ; they need not be prime bread winners; they would always be loved an d cherished by their children.THey are great survivors. Man is no match for a woman.

I am talking on your behalf Bala. .If you make an objective anaylsis , you will realise that though women are very gracious, loving, affectionate, selfless[as regards their children]but they are a tougher species. Research has proved this and that too because they have been born to be survivors. People tend to think I am biased in favor of the male[that too because I have only one precious male child]but I have seen many people so far. Men are certainly helpful, chivalrous, and kind. THey would relent much faster at another woman's sob story than what one woman would do to another.] This is as far as what my interaction with outsiders has revealed. Even within the home front my father and fatherinlaw , brothersinlaw are real gentlemen . They are softer than their women.[my mom or mil, sister or sil] We should not talk about stupid and brutal menfolk here.
Among the educated classses, with reasonable people, you think about it and you will certainly come to the conclusion that women are very smart. [my son and husband used to say that they are devils ]

Of course it is.And men can definitely feel relieved that they are a set of free beings in every way. They do not have some restrictions that women have.
THey have doting wives[you definitely included], who will wait on them and serve them[ especially in our society the male is naturally assigned the superior role]. Joking apart,
I am sure all people should feel wonderful for what they are irrespective of their gender. It is definitley a man or woman's prerogative.

Good morning, balasri...
You must have started this discussion, before we were friends as I did not receive notification....BUT HERE IS MY DEFINITIVE ANSWER:
"What is so wonderful about being a woman?" ONLY A WOMAN...can be a "Mother"~~~ and there is NO more special calling in this world, than being a Mother! A man can sire a lot of children, with NO special bond! A Mother is always bonded to her offspring...no matter what!
The native Indians in B.C. (Canada) have a saying; "you always know whom your Mother is".....but only told whom your Father is! (Course, now all of that has changed due to DNA testing.) Take care and Cheers!

Maybe you should wait 'til "Father's Day"...the second Sunday in June for this conversation...when the focus is on the male species that has sired...LOL!
You see, dear friend...this Sunday, May 9th is "Mother's Day" in a lot of countries....the day we honor the female species...as we all have a Mother, and therefore this discussion is just slotted at the wrong time to get praises and accolades for the male gender! The spotlight is on the ladies...this week! Take care and Cheers!

balasri odd for sure most men are strutting around chests out saying I am a man. Okay so what is my answer. Look men at least you could say I don't have to have cramps every month, I cannot get pregnant etc. But even with those discomforts to me being a woman is one thing I am proud of . Having children gives one a whole new slant on life and the wonder of holding your own little baby in your arms is almost indescribable it is so wonderful. So I can strut around too saying I am glad I am not a man. I do not feel I have to prove I am a woman as I just am and it shows. lol
hurray for womanhood.

Well can I be really honest here my friend? Ok I leave myself wide open because actually I would prefer to be a woman than a man, apart from giving birth that is because that is one thing I highly admire in women that they can go through all that pain, if it was left to men to give birth the population would crumble ha ha! That is the only thing I can think of that is wonderful about being a man, men don't give birth! But in all honesty, I'd rather be anyone but me and that's the truth!

HI Bala!
Women are the epitomes of divinity. They play the role of mother, sister, daughter and wife. They are matchless, therefore 'women' are wonderful.
