It's hard to believe, but in Texas a dog named Woodrow is riunning for governor as a write-in candidate. He has a facebook page, and there are shirts you can buy for $20 that say Vote Woodrow for governor. The money goes to no-kill animal shelters. Would you vote for a dog for governor?

No.
We already have politicians that promise everything and deliver nothing.
Dogs have a tendancy to do everything they are told and with millions of voters telling them different things to do all at the same time, that would be a real mess.
Now, if it was a cat; that, I might vote for. Cats promise nothing, already know they are in charge, and take care of what ever business is needed while letting nothing truly disturb them.

Cats don't listen. They just do whatever makes them happy. That's a politician.
Don't get me wrong, I love cats because they walk around like they are in charge and tell you what they want and when they want it. That is what makes them so adorable. It's not so cute when a politician does it.

"Cats don't listen. They just do whatever makes them happy." - Wrong, politicians do listen; then, they tell you exactly what you want to hear while they figure ways to get the most they can out of you - whether it is your vote or a "campaign contribution". But, in the end, they follow the money that goes into their pockets whether the result is what they really want of not.

Unfortunately, you are probably right. They all say they are different and will change the way things are done, but it seems that every year nothing changes in state or federal government. I vote and voice my opinion, but it seems like the same sleazy deals take place behind closed doors. Politicians have lost touch with regular citizens and therefore they are no longer able to adequately represent the common man or woman. The sad thing is a lot of them get re-elected. It's time to vote them out!

The funny thing is that he is probably smarter than a lot of the politicians we have in office today LOL

Nope I wouldn't
Donations to shelters come even without voting for the dog LOL
But I would vote for a true animal lovers
because those who love animals, definitely love humans
they will protect life and the continuity of life, be it humans or animals
they wouldn't be someone who can be bought by money or power
now if Woodrow has a history of doing that,
then I will vote for him LOL

Hi, Bd2000789. This is something exciting here! A dog running for governor? Over people? This is something very different here. Is this dog going to be governor over his dog pound? I will have to really consider voting for this dog as governor for Texas. What went wrong with the real human governor from Texas?

If ever that dog wins that'd be crazy. Lol. What if that dog wins by the way? How will he be deciding?

That was so cute. That's "Keeping Austin Weird!" A dog would be better than Perry. Personally if I was still in TX I would not vote for the dog for governor (or Perry), but I would probably attend a campaign rally(the dog's. not Perry's). What a wonderful way to raise money for a shelter. Good luck to Woodrow.

hi BD if the vote went to help no kill animal shelters sure,I would vote for a dog for governor after all the dog could do no worse job than our Arnold Schwarzenegger or what ever it is spelled. Maybe the dog would
even do better and that would be a change. he he he.
