Best Software Downloader?

I always had fun of downloading anything in the internet.One of this is my favorite songs and movies.I am using the limewire downloader,but mostly of my friends told me that I can get many virus there that will affect my personal computer.
Can you share to me what is the best software down loader you are using?I know some also but I want to hear it from you, because I know that you already tried using it.Thanks!

As said before you can get viruses from any P2P network. I stoped using Ares because many files I downloaded were really malware... I mainly use bittorrent and I don't get ny virus, but there are many fakes. A good site to search for torrents is www.scrapetorrent.com and there are many good torrent clients but I think the best one for windows is uTorrent.

I don't really know which one to recommend to you, but I can tell you to get rid of Limewire IMMEDIATELY. It is full of viruses and other things that can destroy your computer. Uninstall all limewire related files. I then recommend that you download the free edition of Super Anti-Spyware at Superantispyware . com and run it on your computer as soon as possible after uninstalling Limewire. This will get rid of any potential problems on your computer. I recommend you update and use this program every couple of days to help keep your computer running smoothly...

All P2P software have risks of virus or other malwares, but is not fault of the program itself, the viruses are in the files you download, so all P2P programs have more or less the same risk level.
I used to download with limewire for much before and I never had problems with virus, I don't like the user interface of the last versions, and that's why I'm not using limewire anymore.

There are many computer technicians here told me to stop using limewire,because there are so many viruses there that can harm my computer.Thats why I am asking your idea here so that I can used a good and reliable one.

if those are the stuffs then lime wire is really a good choice. but if you ask me good downloader. i dont use them. there are number of others also.
where even you can schedule your downloads and many more.
what ever i use those are flashget and orbit. where orbit is free and good also.

i think the best is megaupload. is not really a software, but to download softwares, movies, games and all kind of things is the best. for music maybe emule. also limewire works very very well.

I often use orbit downloader.... I think its faster than IDM... Its free and easy to use.... Using mtorrent is far better than the former but the problem is you cannot download everything.... but from torrent sites, using the latter will be better....

I think almost all movie downloaders contain viruses. Music downloaders may not be that bad. There are a couple of movie downloader sites I came across about 6 months ago. But I did not pursue with them for fear of virus infection. Can let you know if I recollect the names of the sites.

It depends on what you want to download and from where, for download music or other files by P2P I use Ares or eMule.
For torrents uTorrent, is so good an easy to use.
For direct downloads from web pages (Except hosts) I use IDM (Internet Download Manager) is so fast an easy to use.
And finally for automated downloads from hosts (like Rapidshare, megaupload, etc) I use Jdownloader is so useful for download much files from hosts without problems and automatically.

I agree with vick77. There's no best downloader. It depends on what you're downloading from.
For P2P I use uTorrent. For direct downloads from Rapidshare.com, megauploads.com, etc. I use FreeRapid. For getting streaming videos like youtube or vimeo i use videoget. And for general purpose download manager I use FreeDownloadManager (FDM) because it can do regular download, direct download and torrent.

I recommend using torrents, Utorrent software or other torrent downloader can download this torrent file. It is reliable and free and it is fast. You can also use the NZB or usenet, although it will cost a little because it requires payment but the advantage you can get from this is more than the price you pay. Usenet is very reliable and as far as my experience go I can say that it is also clean.
