Whenever you get a best response from a topic you recently responded to... do you
send a thank you message? Or do you usually just let it go?

I would likely to say thank you very much. But then I'm afraid it's violate mylot rules (see mylot guidlines). So I just thank to discussion when I want to add some respond too. I hope mylot would change this rule, even there is no earn, but it will make ones happy and respect. And I hope others can understand if sometime I don't reply anything to their comment.

I think I see something like this in mylot guidelines, (think we) don't do "Thank everyone that respond to your comment on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings."

Is it? Is it on the mylot guidelines that we are not allowed to show our gratitude for a best response given to us? I am not aware of that.

Whenever I get a best response, I will thank the person on the discussion itself. I think it is a way to show how pleased you are to be honoured the title. At the same time, it is nice to know that their efforts at picking out best responses resulted in positive responses. It will bring about a completely friendly and amiable ambience here in myLot.

Oh so you do in on the actual page itself. I was thinking about sending a message or something. But probably yours is a good idea.

I have received both - personal message as well as on the discussion page itself. It's really up to you.

i usually let it go. i know i should probably go and say thanks but it seems a bit redundent im pleased with it but then you never know if you really gave best response or they just got tired of seeing it unresolved! lol!

I have never done it. I wanted to get people's opinions first. I've received several best responses and somehow it makes me feel bad that I wasn't able to show my gratitude or something.

i think it would be nice if you respond to the starter of the discussion and say thank you for picking your post as a best response! specially add on some other things that concern the certain topic that can also be added to the discussion and same as your earnings as well! and it's better to treat each other of us here as friends in a way! let's say it's like a helping hand that comes your way and people who have concern, respond to your needs, same as in real life, you should take them enough for the help they brought you! do you think how wonderful it is that you feel being uplifted enough for a certain work/good job you've done!
i think you'll lose nothing if you say thanks to the person! but you get to have friends in a way!

Yes I feel you. Someone appreciated the hard work and good job that we did and so a simple "thank you" I guess won't hurt.

If there is something to say by way of a comment on my response that was chose best, I will usually comment again and thank for the best response. Otherwise I will likely leave it unless I have a question to ask to the poster of the original discussion.

If someone takes my response as the best response for a particular topic, I always make sure I reply and say thank you. And even if I do not get a best response, as long as I got a reply, it makes me happier, and saying thank you or welcome is my way to express that I was happy to have received a response on my topic. Plus, if I get a best response, it makes me more inspired to reply to discussions that I find insteresting and worth talking about.

I did let it go for the longest time . . . but now I'm trying to be "nice" and send a thank you plus a message in response to cap off the discussion topic. I have sent thank yous for the ones recently . . . but I have a list to go through for the past discussions I've gotten Best Response for. Maybe it's a little late to be thanking people for it - but better late than never - so I do intend to get to them *someday*!
